It needs moderate expertise to assemble correctly. The unit works fine as advertised.

The main body frame is not very stable (swing mildly when used), in general working. Don't think there will be a problem if I put many shoes in it and items above it. Assembly takes some time and effort, I find instructions clear. One panel comes with crack on the surface.

I live this product. So easy to install, very professional instructions, very durable, it is ok until size 10 women's and 11- 11,5 men's. Easy to use and a lot of space. And Verry fast customer service. I just love it! I recommend this product with all my heart.

This wood-looking panels of this unit are composed of particle-board. Each of the fold-down sections relies on a single plastic roller attached to either side of the unit with very coarse screws to be the pivot-point for the fold-down section. Basically all of the weight of all of the shoes that are loaded in to each section of this unit are held up by just those two screws - one on each side of the unit. In my particular case, after just 3.5 months of use, 3 out of 6 of these screws (one from each section) has ripped itself out of the side of the unit, basically making the unit completely unusable. I have contacted the seller and they have informed me that I had "over-tightened the screws which caused the screw holes to strip". I disagree with this assessment, but nonetheless they are sending me replacement side panels for my unit. I have also asked them for torque specifications for these particular screws. I will update this review in 6-months time as to the status of the unit.

I'm happy with the finished product. It looks nice, and has more room for shoes than I had expected. However, putting it together was extremely difficult. The directions were clear, but the pictures of the screws did not match up to what we were given. The drawers are assembled separately and are supposed to easily slide into the base of the cabinet, which was not the case. It was literally impossible to do what the directions said to. We had to actually disassemble the drawers, then reassemble them half in the base of the cabinet and half out. It took about 2 hours to put it together and my boyfriend and I couldn't talk to each other for the rest of the night because it was so stressful. I like the cabinet now, but wouldn't get a second one.

It looks nice, compact, was fairly easy to assemble and was reasonably priced. However, it cannot hold 36 pairs of shoes, maybe children's shoes but not men's shoes. I wear size 12 shoes and the most I can fit in each compartment are 6 pairs for a total of 18 pairs of shoes -- and it is tight. If you wear extra wide shoes you will probably be able to fit just 5 pairs per compartment. If you wear larger than size 12 you won't be able to insert the shoes as shown. You will have to store them sideways which means you can fit even less pairs per compartment.
