Q: How do you remove when put on to change the battery in the original key fob?

Everything is snapped on, you just snap it back off and remove the inner silicone lining

Q: Does the key fit in the holder below the steering wheel with this cover on?

unfortunately it does not. but i have had this for 6 months and haven't had to recharge the fob.
