Having previously used an old shoe box with multiple holes punched in the sides I decided I needed a better and more dignified bird carrier. I wanted something soft with no large holes or bars so potentially panicked birds wouldn't injure themselves getting wings or feet caught. This fitted the bill and I purchased this back in early summer 2023 in anticipation of using it for a 4+ hour road trip to collect some doves. Plans fell through and it went unused until August 2024 when it finally saw use albeit for just under an hour. This review regards birds the approximate size of a Budgie.The materials all seem very sturdy with the zips feeling strong and secure enough with an easy glide. The mesh mixed with fabric fold back privacy covers are great as it allows good ventilation and heat escape which is essential as as lot of the bag is thick plastic. The removable padded floor insert uses velcro to hold it in place and provides comfort and safety as well as allowing an easier clean after use. The overall design keeps most mess contained such as seeds and droppings; neither of which my partner would have liked having wing slapped in to the back of his head whilst driving.I was a little concerned about the three holes at the front but I never observed either bird poke their heads through. The steel rings would allow for two large stainless steel washers with a bolt and wingnut (facing outwards) to be used to block each one if desired.My bag has three positioning holes for the perch which is unlike the single one shown in the listing when I purchased. This is better as it allows a choice of positions though the top and bottom positions are quite close to the back and front of the bag respectively so they may not be too suitable for larger birds or long tails. My two never used the perch instead preferring to sit on the floor staring out as seen in my picture so I can't really judge its suitability.All in all I'm very happy with my purchase though I'm not really sure how to store it. I'm loathe to unzip it and flatten it down incase it gets forgotten and damaged in a cupboard so for the time being it remains intact.

I bought this carrier to bring two lovebirds home last week. Well built, feels sturdy, not too heavy, really easy to put toether and the ability to fold it down is a huge bonus, good for storage. Having clip on bowls included makes it easier to supply food and water for the journey. The dowel perch ideally should be a natural textured wood and not smooth. The birds hardly sat on it and kept sliding off when they did. They either sat on the base or clung onto the food bowls. Apart from that, really great travel cage. The added back pack straps will be great for taking them out in the warmer months.

This is an awesome backpack carrier for birds like a cockatiel, or a parakeet. Very sturdy, and high quality. Cleaning is easy. Wipe with wet paper towel. It also comes with 2 removable washable pads for the bottom to ensure easy cleanup. There are a few issues, but nothing I consider particularly troublesome. My bird is a cockatiel, and it's perfect for him. Ok, problems....there isnt a lot of room for a cockatiel to turn around without their tail feathers running into the sides really badly. Any birds with long tail feathers will have an issue that could lead to feather breakage. The perch does not stay stationary. No matter how tight it is, unless you tape it from the outside, it spins. There is no room for a small bird to jump off the perch&sit on the bottom on the backpack, and they cant easily reach the perch to get back on it even at the middle setting. For a small bird the perch has to be on the bottom setting. This is pretty much touching the bottom of the carrier, but it's all you can do. A larger bird like a Quaker parrot, or a ring neck would have an easier time reaching the perch at the middle setting if they're sitting on the bottom in this carrier, but their sizes would be a bit much for them to be very comfortable in my opinion. Even a cockatiel cant spread its wings to assist in getting up to the perch when it's higher than the bottom. There's just no room. A parakeet probably could. If you have a small bird then this backpack is near perfect if you take what I mentioned in mind. I do love it overall.

Brought this for my two cockateils incase we need to go to the vets or if we take them on walks or on holiday/trips with us. It is good quality comes well packaged with a cover for when I'm not using it . Bowls and perch are good quality and it is really handy and nice it has a cover for night time or if they get spooked. I would buy from this company again also I love the bright reflective colours as it would be good if in the dark.

Took our conure parrot to the pet shop in it he seemed to enjoy his few hours out and aboutThe kids loved the fact he could come out with us and took it in turns to carry him roundWould recommend as it very well built good quality

This is absolutely brilliant It was a much more comfortable journey for my parrot to the vets.It goes up easily with just a couple of zips and flat packs for easy storage. The 2 bowls clip on easily for food and water during transport. There are a couple of washable pads too. This catches all the poop and easily washed in the machine. This is my most favourite purchase

We just got ourselves a green cheeck conure and we wanted to make sure we can safely carry it anywhere we need to in a safe and protective carrier.I honestly think this did the trick for us. It's really nice quality and has a lot of features. It's spaceous enough and what I really like about this one is that you can use it as a backpack, so you can have your hands free to do whatever you desire.Totally recommend it!
