Osprey Unisex Daylite Cinch Hiking Pack (pack of 1)

I use this for day hiking because the smaller size forces you to only bring what you need. That said it still holds more than you’d expect. The design of the cinch is fantastic. Just remember to pull the toggle (I’ve seen a few people complaining that it doesn’t open easily) and it pops open like you’ve just released a clip. The “laptop” compartment is perfect for your camel bag as the bladder loops and openings are right above it while the daisy chain loops on the front are extremely well stitched and endlessly useful. The unisex element may limit its suitability. Even with the arm straps let out at their longest, my shoulders are a little too broad for it to fit absolutely perfectly and as a result the chest strap tends to ride a little too to close to my neck. It doesn’t bother me comfort wise, but others might be put off by it.

I purchased this bag as it was the perfect size to go under an airline seat. It is well made and sturdy, my only gripe about it is that the hook & pull fastening system. It sort of works, but if the bag is not full the eye loop can come away from the hook, and although I have not used it in the rain, I don’t think it would be very effective because of the design. It also lacks an external water bottle holder, which would be useful.

Love this rucksack, small compact but fits plenty! I mainly take it on my holiday hikes where I only need to carry essentials and it does the job. It looks really good with anything I wear! Also taken as small bag on the plane. I recently went on hilltribe trekking trip and fitted enough gear to last me 4 days! Very pleased. The only thing I'd say is you have no water carrier on the outside but that's no big issue for me, might be for those who don't like water bladder!

Good space for storage & quality construction.

Like everything about this lightweight bag apart from the fact that it does not have a zip fastener but a drawstring with toggle. In hindsight should have returned as it’s quite a faff getting things out of your bag in a hurry

Good bag for small outings

Great lightweight day sack, easy to open and get to your stuff. Bear in mind this pack is not waterproof so a pack cover will be needed if you use in the rain.
