Stories with an agenda - Fear fest for kids
I'm all for sharing age-appropriate info with kids when it comes to climate change and how our choices impact the environment. I'm also for protecting childhood and not giving kids burdens that are too much for them. These stories are totally full of guilt tripping sad stories about climate change, fossil fuel usage, and deforestation. And when I say full, I mean FULL. These things aren't mentioned once or twice, they are talked about every other sentence it seems. The rain forest "adventure" is just a big fear fest for small kids, full of facts about how we're going to pay the price for climate change, etc. The info about animals and other fun, educational things are completely overshadowed by the sad stories about animals and people losing their homes, fossil fuels' harmful effects, and how many trees are being cut down every day. And the narrator uses the term "we" constantly. "We are cutting down football size fields of trees every minute!" Well, kids can't do anything about this, aren't involved, and are too young to be laying in bed at night worrying about this. Instead, I wish the stories focused on fostering love for the rain forest with fun, age-appropriate stuff, so that as the kid grows, they care more and can make choices that matter. Let kids be kids; you be the adult.

Climate Change Propaganda
Very nice engaging stories but unfortunately with an agenda. Somehow ladybird audio adventures 1 can take a story called “Deep Sea Adventures” and sneak in a lecture on eating less beef to help combat climate change. I think all 5 cards had some type of climate change propaganda. So obnoxious. Just the stories please!!
