Purchased on 10/14/21, I noticed some lines in the rear camera's feed. It wasn't a terrible problem, but then the unit began to power off abruptly.I was contacted by the manufacturer to update the firmware on 11/25/21. I did so easily and it fixed the rear camera lines. The power cycling was still a problem, but I found this was due to not using the hard wired car adapter. You may not be able to use a USB car adapter and another cable to provide the right amount of power.Pros:-Incredibly convenient, bright screen allows multiple viewing options.-Dual recording of front and rear cameras is great for safety and security in case of an accident that isn't your fault.-Simple wiring. The rear camera just plugs into the monitor and receives power there. Generally, in-dash rear view cameras require splicing into the vehicle's power to activate when in reverse. The simple wiring for this kit is one of the best reasons to purchase.-The manufacturer provides good support and communication.Cons:-The field of view gets cut off when viewing one camera at a time. Side by side, you can see there is a lot cut off. Having the option to resize or reposition the one camera view would be very helpful when hooking up to a trailer.-Cannot use another USB car adapter like a 2 port splitter to provide power.-Rear camera has limited dynamic range causing bright headlights at night to bloom with blown out white. This is just a downside of these small cameras, not specific to this kit.Overall, a convenient and affordable kit that's easy to install. May be one of the best deals on this style of dash cam video mirror.

Best deal I found for biggest screen size. Bought for 32ft motorhome even though already has rear backup camera. Problem is, built-in camera points almost straight down at bumper so not much good for rear view. And internal rear-view mirror is about useless trying to see through small rear window way back there. Mounted rear camera inside rear window at top looking out & works great. Even though window is tinted, picture is bright & clear. View is very wide-field so I can see when I am clear to change lanes even when towing a car. This should be required gear for motorhomes especially with small or no rear window. This is hard-wired so won't work with trailers & 5Ws. I sprung for extra-long camera cord & ran along ceiling fixtures, works perfectly. Very happy with purchase!

What a waste of time and money! No way close to a 2.5k quality and not even to mention 4k. The quality from my previous dash cam 1080 is way more better than this supposedly 4k dash cam. Product description doesn't correspond to the actual product... don't waste your time!

This product has some strange quirks ... I bought brand new Sandisk and Samsung 128g micro memory cards and it likes the Samsung but refuses to work with the Sandisk. The dimming feature needs to be improved ... it doesn't get dark enough at night and there should be a light sensor that automatically dims the screen when it gets dark. The video playback quality does not look 4K, especially at night. Having said all that, I do like the convenience of the whole thing and the ability to adjust the front camera up and down digitally. Overall its just an 'OK' product.

The dash cam is awesome….when it wants to work.Front camera quality is good and very clear. However. Sometimes it struggles to find the correct exposure.Rear camera is good but no where near the front in terms of quality. Sometimes the rear glitches. Checked the connection from the dash cam to the camera. Nothing loose or caught.This is my second unit. My first unit i had to exchange because i had a power cycle issue where the device would reset itself every couple of minutes. NOW, my second unit is having that same issue less than a week in. I’m not sure what’s causing it.If they can get the power cycle issue fixed this is a 4 star product.EDIT; updated: 09/08/2021 sent back my old unit for a new one that came in on 08/31/2021. Updated the firmware. Have been using it for a week now and so far everything has been working like it’s supposed to. No power cycling issue. Will update this review in a month to see if anything else changes. For the time being will up my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars.

This mirror dash cam is amazing. Very easy and straightforward to install. The mirror dash cam installed in a few minutes. The rear camera and the GPS receiver took 30 minutes to install.The pictures quality is great. I installed the rear camera on the trunk lid near the license plate. I have 5% tint on my back window, which is to dark to get a clear picture. Outside the car worked better for me.Overall, it is a amazing purchase. Would definitely recommend.

The recorded files are apparently stored randomly into different folders. In one folder the recordings show on the screen for playback and those files playback on my computer, if the files are in the other folder, no playback on monitor or PC. There is a long time for the files to write to a fast U3 Class 10 SD card, and while that happens there is a yellow bar at the bottom of the monitor that shows the writing of the file painfully slow happening, I don't think it records during the file write time, so there could be gaps in "constantly recording. The screen was hard to see in daylight. I decided to get a model without the mirror screen. The front camera lens is not as pictured there is no square part, just adjusting stiff round small tube with a lens, which I guess is better than a non stiff lens. I only used the 2.5k settings for both cameras, the rear seemed lesser quality.Another annoying part is the exposure on the camera jumps all over the place even in open desert driving, so if you want to make a video with it, it would be distracting. The cables included were fine, the SD card was hard to get out of the unit and to reinsert it. I think most of these types of units would have similar issues, I think for driving using your vehicles mirrors would be safer, but not all vehicles have mirrors in the back. For what it is, and for a specific purpose it might work for you.
