Easy to use for those with mild to moderate dementia + WORKS with Rogers Ignite TV
My mother suffers from moderate dementia, I changed her cable service over to Rogers Ignite and it was not good mainly because she was overwhelmed by the remote control, I had hoped the voice command remote would make it easier but it was a no go. Rogers does have a big button remote without the voice feature but there was still too many buttons for her to make sense of, so I took a chance with the Flipper Remote.I did ask the Amazon community about this remote and if it was Rogers Ignite compatible and I got one good reply with yes and explanation, I got another no and a few others. I was a little confused with a yes and a no for compatibility especially with the no from an electronics guy. Anyway I made the purchase and took it over to my mom's to try programming, it worked with Rogers Ignite 100% & her Vizio TV. The Rogers Ignite STB (set top box Xi6-T) programmed no problem with the recommended code 3084 to the Flipper Remote. Flipper is advertised as Rogers Compatible. I asked the question mainly because I found out some people thought it was just compatible with the Rogers Cable based system only, this is not the case, it is Ignite compatible!I programmed the Flipper for just the basic functions of power, channel, volume & mute, I did not program any favorite channels, this would have just confused my mother. I set the Rogers STB power saver option to OFF so the box would not power down, but did set the HDMI interface to ON so when the Flipper power button is pressed to shut off the TV the Rogers STB would go to power standby. I set up things to try and make it as user friendly as possible for my mom with dementia. Anyway, so far so good, my mom is using the TV once again and just scrolling through her channels with the channel buttons alone, this would not be ideal for most people including me but for my mom it is fine and she is happy to once again enjoy watching TV with a good HD picture & sound from the Rogers Ignite System.VERY Pleased with the Flipper, Rogers Ignite compatible, simple & easy to manipulate for seniors with cognitive issues like dementia. (One user mentioned it was no good because there parent has advanced dementia, lets face it, many things will be problematic with an advanced case which I fear is ahead for my mom, all we can do is help and be supportive and try products like Flipper that may help)Anyway, overall good buy and most importantly it is functional with digital HDTV - One negative is, it is a little pricey especially for seniors on a tight budget these days with inflation so high. Who I am kidding, high inflation is hard for everyone. Hope this helps, all the best! 😊 God Bless

Simplifies device control
Big buttons make it easier for the senior / visual impaired to operate their device by removing the small buttons that they don’t need from the main interface.
