Fodor's InFocus Zion & Bryce Canyon National Parks

This little book is packed with interesting info about Zion and Bryce Canyon national parks and the areas nearby. I found it really useful for planning highlights of what to visit on my trip and for getting more familiar with the towns near the parks. The lists of animals and plants unique to the area are cool -- especially when traveling with kids, it’s fun to be on the lookout for what we don’t find in our neck of the woods. The photos show off the vibrant colors (heavy on red rock, naturally!) the region is known for. They made me want to visit even more and gave great inspiration for my own picture-taking. The small size/weight of the book makes it handy to carry in a backpack. I love guidebooks in general so often have more than one for a particular destination. What I like about this one is that it actually does put “in focus” the must-sees of the region while weaving in interesting history and useful facts, without pages and pages of ad-type listings that some guidebooks have for hotels, restaurants, and such. (I expect to look for those online anyway to get the most updated info.) Everything in the “Know Before You Go” section was really informative and helpful too. I'm glad I bought this book!

Very disappointing book, only listed 5-6 hotels & Restaurants in Springdale & gives incorrect shuttle information. As per the NP website, the shuttles have been free since end of May so this book being published in July should have had that detail updated.
