My cats LOVE this, so I do, too.
I've been feeding my two cats this food for over a year now (actually probably 2 years). They LOVE it. They have literally never not eaten this food the minute I set the plates down--which is good, because I'm paying an arm and a leg for this stuff. It's worth it, though, because my cats are healthy AF. They have the softest silky coats (they're medium/long-haired grey cats; probably a mix of maine coon & siamese--seriously, people comment on my cats' softness), strong claws that poke me whenever they make biscuits into my arm / stomach / thigh / shoulder / head / etc., and they're full of energy. They also don't get chin pimples (maybe that's because I don't use plastic dishes? do your own research). Their poops are healthy, albeit a little stinky, but I mean nothing compares to kitten poops, right? Like, they don't smell half as bad as kitten poops so can I really complain? No.About the food itself: it smells pretty gross, like all cat food does. Not fishy, because it's not fish. Ducky, I guess. I like to rinse the can before tossing it, to keep the fur demons from breaking into the trash, and to mitigate smells. It has very little 'gravy', because it's a pate. I'm told that gravy is not always "gravy" for cats--lots of salt or fillers, maybe (do your own research)? Anyway, pate is pate. It's a dense, solid, can-shaped blob of food. It's not little cubes of meat and carrots and rice in a sauce. This can is full of food, with a drizzle of sauce to keep it moist. So, I feel like I'm getting the most for my money compared to those gravy cat foods (even though my cats go nuts for that gravy stuff--like me with a fresh, hot cheese pizza). My cats have been eating this since graduating from kitten food, and I intend to keep feeding it to them until it makes me go broke, or until they change their minds about duck pate, or until the vet says stop.

Picky eaters delight.
My picky eaters really liked this, and it is the high protein, no grain option requirements that our cats need for a healthy, long life.

Expensive, but my cat loves it
My cat has Inflammatory Bowel Disease, so I'm always searching for limited ingredient, novel protein food that he likes. He loved the rabbit version of Merrick canned food, and I was pleased to find that he also likes the duck (which is a tiny bit cheaper). My only complaint is how expensive these are, but it's to be expected since there is probably a very limited market for these flavors and versions.

Cat Loves It
My cat loves this food. I just wish I could afford it better. Too pricey for my budget.

Not what it used to be
The quality and consistency changes from case to case lately. My cat used to love it and then the last 2 cases she won’t touch. I don’t know if they changed the formula but even I can tell the color and consistency changes considerably for each case in the past few months. Sadly I’m done with this brand for this reason. No quality control

Three out of three cats love the food!
We have three, very large cats. Overtime, I purchase from every brand locally available (about 15 brands) and within each brand I try every type of food offered. I include what I call junk food (which of course, they love) to expensive varieties at over $2.00 a can. Two out of three cats have to like the food, otherwise never purchase again. Within a month, my cats may end up eating 20 varieties. By far, Merrick Duck Pate is always a great winner. All three cats quickly clean their bowls. I now feed them the Merrick duck pate every fourth day, interspersed with a continuous variety.

Something is off about it
I tried the Duck flavor before as part of poultry variety pack. When I did, my cat seemed to prefer Duck over Turkey and Chicken. The whole reason I bought the more expensive variety pack was to find my cat's favorite. She loved the Duck flavor most. Imagine my surprise when I got this big 24-pack only to discover that my cat hated it. I thought maybe a can or two were off, but no. My cat would leave the food untouched until she was starving. Even if I removed old food and opened a fresh can, she'd take one whiff and walk away, returning perhaps 10-12 hours later when she was desperate. The good news is that I got Chicken on the last order, and she almost back to her eating habits and portions instantly.

Only one of my cats would eat it. Unlike other cat food cans, the content would get stuck inside and not come out when you flip it over; you would need to use a spoon/fork to scoop it out. Otherwise, it seems to be a quality product.

Great price for good product.
Great deal, 24 5.5 ounce cans for $40CAD. The local stores can't match that. Cat loves it, quality product, would buy again for $40.

My cats really liked this. To the extent that I'm reluctant to keep purchasing it, as they prefer it to anything else! I don't want them to develop a fixation on just this one flavor.
