A 3D exploding model paints a thousand pictures
This 3D model of the human heart is a brilliant way to understand the function and form of the the heart. More so than a textbook. By seeing and being able to look inside, you can get a real sense of how the heart operates and is constructed. The model heart itself is made from moulded plastic and looks incredibly good and detailed. A great addition to any science lesson on the human anatomy.It comes with a clear plastic stand but the one I received was broken.It is said that a picture paints a thousand words. I'd argue that a 3D exploding model is worth a thousand pictures.

Quirky desk oddity but also a great educational tool
Now, I'm not using this as an educational tool and so it's more of a quirky desk oddity.It's well moulded and weighty, sits well on the display stand and looks great with everything numbered and referenced with the included reference sheet.The front of the heart comes away easily but holds firmly with the magnetic catches. Great bit of kit if you have a medical interest, or if you just like odd ornaments!

Poor quality stand and hope on heart model too tiny to assemble
Clearly the hole on here model is extremely small and the stand rod is wider and can't assemble. Made in China stand is a separate peace. The heart model is indeed very good.

Loved it
I love this heart model. As well as being super educational for my kids it makes a cool decoration in a gothic style home.It is very educational and informative and every detailed. It is well made, and actually quite heavy!It comes with a lovely stand to hold it all up.
