Don't buy these doggy steps. They are made of foam and are supposed to expand after you open the package. But, the foam never expanded and the steps are not usable. It only rose to 7 inches at the highest point( see photos). The cover is all baggy at the top, since the foam did not expand to fill it. All the seller said was "it takes a while to expand, try punching it '" Really? It's been 3 days now I think it should have fully expanded by now. this is totally worthless! They are nothing like how it looks in the picture. Very disappointing. Still have not had my return approved by this rip-off seller.

However, the company failed to put instructions in the package to explain how the stairs become stair shaped. The company did provide instructions in the description, but unfortunately no one reads that.When the package arrived I was shocked because it was such a small package and it kind of looked like how I imagine a dead body would be wrapped up. I didn’t take a picture of how it looked, but it was very squished and not very stair shaped. It honestly concerned me and I thought that I had been ripped off. I looked at the description and saw that I needed to take the cover off of it and put it in a well ventilated area so it could expand. I’m glad I read this and gave it chance, because it ended up being exactly what I wanted.The first picture I took was about 2 hours after opening the package. It had already expanded quite a bit. After a complete 24 hours the stairs have completely formed to what the picture show. I’m glad I read the description, but my suggestion to the company is to include instructions in the package.Harley the Yorkiepoo is very happy he can now get up on the couch and off of the couch without any assistance or jumping to his death.

So I read the reviews (unfortunately after) I purchased. But there was one review that said to take off the cover and let sit in a well ventilated place. I received the stairs a week ago. It was very slow going to reach the height of 13.5 inches. It still has not gotten to the 16.5 inches they said it does. I did kind of help it bu pulling gently on it to help expand. The middle stair still has dents in it and not shaped properly. If you are wanting to buy and use right away, these are not the stairs for you. And it sounds like everyone is getting different results. I will update this if it ever reaches the 16.5 inches promised. Otherwise they are sturdy enough and the cover is nice and soft. My dog who weighs maybe 13 pounds has used it a couple of times to get on the bed but won’t use it to get down because it’s not high enough. I would not purchase another.

I love these steps as far as the soft foam doesn't hurt me when I stub my toe on them. It was the main reason I chose them over other types.The cover is soft and easily removed to wash. The foam stands up to my 18 pound terrier and my 15 pound chiweenie and our 2 pups can now get on and off our bed without needing help.My only complaint is that they do not ship from the US and I wasn't happy about that

I bought these stairs for my 4 chi's for my trailer. I was disappointed when I seen it was going to take up to 2 months to get them as we were leaving in 1 month but it was to late to cancel my order. I was very surprised when they showed up in 3 weeks. After reading all the horror reviews about them being flat and not being as tall as they were suppose to be I was happy to see mine were 20" tall and not flat. They are to raise to 31" in total my dogs used them fine as they were. I have no complaints with this seller.

NOTE: You are buying a FOAM PILLOW in the shape of a small staircase. Even though it does work for very small - tiny - near-weightless dogs, if your dog has any weight to it at all, the top of the stair will cave in. I have to cut a thin board to create an upright spine along with a top step board so it won't cave in; this modification has to be inserted inside the zipper cover. I have 4 dachshunds and this staircase barely works with them but with the spine, it works fine. This costs so much that I have to modify this product myself in order to make it worthwhile.

When I FINALLY received my order after waiting a MONTH for delivery and having to call Amazon twice about it, I was surprised to find that it was well made. When I checked on Amazon during the waiting period, there were more bad reviews than good. My dachshund has learned to use it after some hesitation, but the delivery experience was such that I will never order another product from this manufacturing company.
