Going Greek: A totally hilarious summer romantic comedy (Summer Romances)

I really enjoyed reading this as visited Rhodes while on a cruise reading this book. Well written and you couldn't guess how it would end. I couldn't stop reading it. Read it within 2 days

Nice easy read. Takes you to Greece dream of being there too. Insight to how nice the Greek food and easy living

I hav ed loved reading this story and getting to know all of the characters. I would love to live in Greece.

I enjoyed this book but didn’t find it “totally hilarious” as the description said. It is a story of romance and relationships and is an easy holiday read.

Took a while to get into this book…took it away with me to Cyprus. Enjoyable easy read if slightly predictable

I picked this up when I was in the mood for a light-hearted rom-com and that’s exactly what I got!Samantha is a TV host in the UK, think Holly Willoughby. She’s a well known name, just about to take a break from her daily show for the summer. After the wrap party, she’s found herself in the papers in a compromising situation and the country has started to turn against her. Cancel culture at it’s finest!Sam’s sister moved to Greece a few years ago and quickly offers a place to stay for the summer. On a quite island, Sam would be able to escape the hoards of Twitter haters and abuse in the street for a bit.I really enjoyed the descriptions of Greece, having been there relatively recently myself. I enjoyed being able to picture the street Sam was walking down, with the wind blowing through her hair.Whilst staying with her sister, Sam go to spend time with her nieces, which I really liked. The family dynamic was really enjoyable and felt quite relatable to me.One thing that I didn’t really like was that it seemed to me that Sam was in Greece for ever, much longer than the time scale of the book, and some of the timings of events didn’t really add up. I’m not sure if that was me misunderstanding, or she actually did squeeze all of those things in!A story about family, priorities, love, life and work, this was a perfect read for my mood at the time!Overall rating: “Going Greek” sees fictional TV host, Samantha, fly to Greece in an attempt to hide from social media trolls. An easy going read, this is a light-hearted book which I quite enjoyed – 4 stars.

Really loved this book, it is total escapism and has a huge 'feel good' content. I really loved Sam's family and how she spent her time with them in Greece. It made me want to be there. Can't say enough good things about this book it's the perfect summer read when all you want is to relax and unwind with a good book. Highly recommended. It's 5 stars from me.

Loving Sue Robert’s books. Great way to forget all the horrors of the world and all the uncertainty. Particularly enjoy her comments re Southport as I have a home there as well as in Spain where am at present. Reading her books is keeping some form of sanity whilst in and out of lockdown. Can honestly recommend al, her books as great fun and forget the world reads.

When I started reading Going Greek, I thought, “Oh no, another celebrity themed book!” I almost closed it to relegate it to the pile of books I can’t read, but instead I stuck with it and was soon engulfed in the story. It is a funny and totally, absorbing story of life and love in an idyllic Greek village. My only complaint is it ended far too soon.

It was lovely to lose myself in this delightful story,Good for the soul. A very pleasant Sunday afternoon read.

Fun read- especially if you are fond of Greek life and culture.

I’ve just finished Going Greek and I was extremely taken with it. I’ve read 3 other Sue Roberts Greece books and like them all … but this seemed to be a cut above. I only wish I was there!

I love all her books and this did not disappoint!
