Still has issues
Our HIve Central Heating controls work really well so we decided to add a Hive Window/Door Sensor. It was easy to affix with the sticky pad and worked immedidately. However the sensor loses contact with the hub at least once every week. The answer is to remove the battery and re-insert it. Then works again. The signal level received by the hub is fine. It just stops working. Not ideal hence the 3 star ratingUpdate after 3 months of having to remove the battery on a weekly basis to get it to connect to the hive hub it has now stopped working completely. Totally useless

Glitch
Sensor detected movement. Related Hive Action switched lights on but not off after selected time elapsed. Contacted support who said there was a glitch which they were hoping to fix for the new year. Returned.19/3/18 Contacted support to see if fault fixed. The response was, "I'm afraid the problem still exists. We had hoped to have this solved with the release of our new "Advanced Actions" but this issue still remains. We are still working on this and we are confident that this will be resolved soon but, at the moment, I'm afraid the problem persists."

Very unreliable
We have a Hive system, it worked perfectly fine until they pushed out a software update to our hub. Now none of the motion sensors work. If you call them for support they completely refuse to acknowledge the problem and talk a lot of nonsense about where to place the sensors. Well we haven't moved the sensors since it did work, nor have we built any extra walls inside our house! Bad software backed by worse customer service. We will probably keep the other components we have, e.g. for heating and hot water, but I wouldn't recommend anyone buy a new Hive system if starting with home automation from scratch.

Perfect solution for raiding missions!
Brought this to use with my hive bulbs as needed a no noise solution for when I raided the pantry at night!! The light switch for my pantry was a pull cord which made an annoying loud click when used! It was like an alarm going off late at night when I was stealing..I mean helping the kids not to eat sweets!! So this was my new high-tec solution and it works a treat! Ha haNo more loud clicking so my secret sweet raiding missions are undetectable and are currently blamed on the sweet monster who eats kids sweets if they don't do as there told :)The only slight down fall though is if your hive fails I have no light and the have to reset the hub and motion sensor by removing the battery but this rarely happens. Main thing is it stops that loud clicking sound!

Works excellent for security.
Works perfectly wellVery easy to set upCurrently have it to trigger an alert and switch on hallway lights for one hour only after sun set.I think the bad reviews are from people who are not setting up the if, else logic correctly on the action when the switch is triggered.Hive could make the app easier I guess.I've added a picture of how I set up the action if that helps anyone.
