Barron's SAT Subject Test: Physics

Covered much of what was on the test. Some questions were practically the same as the ones on the actual SAT. Great review bookUpdate: got an 800, so can confirm this book definitely helped

For SAT preparation, I have always been trusting Barron’s products and so far they never let me down. To get admitted to great schools, one certainly needs to take not only general SAT, but also SAT 2 subject tests.I really like how this chemistry SAT book is divided into sections with examples and problems after each section. It makes studying really easy and nice. All the problems have explanation, which is perfect for students who want to study by themselves. Diagnostic tests are designed to show students how well are they doing so far and which part do they need to focus on more.Wise usage of this book ONLY, can guarantee a score of 800. It is very important to give yourself time and pace accordingly. If you start studying only a week or few days before the exam with insufficient chemistry knowledge, chances are, your scores will not be very impressive.

I bought this book to see how much I have forgotten . I'm 77 with a BS in physics . I was surprised at how well I did ! This would be a great for studying before you take the SAT - it will help you know where your weak points are . I wish I had one of these when I was a 'kid' .

The practice tests are slightly harder then the actual sat subject test. The book helped a lot. It has every single topic you need to know summarized quickly. I knew nothing and learned everything from the book so I could get a high score.

Overall, a useful review guide. Most beneficial for concepts that need reviewing. Explanations are inadequate for concepts that you have not been exposed to previously.

Not sure what the outcome will be but my son felt well prepared by using this book. As others have said, the actual test was easier.

Great - just what I hoped for!

Good quality book

My son found this very helpful in preparation for his Physics SAT test for US.

Seems to be just the right amount of information, very nice exercises at the end of every chapter. From an A/A* student from the UK, I think the explanations were adequately thorough enough, contrary to some other reviews.

Like - this book deals with tough solid application numericals which are asked in sat .Dislike- too much in-depth knowledge of those lesson which is not required for sat

I just received my order today and found that the product is full of pen marks all over the practice sections. Each practice problem has been answered using a gel pen, so I have had to use white-out to remove the marks. Although the chapter material hasn't been tampered with, all the practice exercises, including practice tests have been marked with a pen. This makes it difficult, since the purpose of ordering a test prep book is to practice. I am very disappointed in this and would not recommend purchasing this book thinking that it will be good quality.
