This part is a pain in the butt to replace. I said hell with it and took the upper intake off. Was able to clean the throttle body and replace my IAC value. Taking everything apart was very easy. Took a 8mm and 10mm sockets and some socket extensions, that's it. Took about a hour to remove and clean everything. Turns out I had a gasket leaking where the upper meets the lower plastic part of the intake. I spent $10 on gaskets and a can of Tb cleaner. Took about and hour and a half to do. The end of this hose was a little smaller than the stock one. So it was really hard to slide on the nipple on the very back of the intake. Its way way in the back. It butts up to the firewall. Sitting on the radiator was the only way I could reach it. Im 6'5" with a 8' reach. A little spray lube on the rubber end will help slide the rubber over the plastic nipple.

Trust Me!
Alright, get this! I have a 1998 Ford Expedition with the 5.4 motor. It was running all sorts of strange. This is inexpensive and I thought, "I wonder how old mine is?" Installing it was like a whole tuneup. It's a hose and a PCV valve. No tools are required or necessary. If You do not know how old Yours is, simply get this and put it in.

Perfect fit 97 F150. Cured my P0171 code.
A little difficult to reach the back side of intake manifiold to remove old and install new. But doable. Aggravating P0171 and P0174 codes gone.

OEM Part and #2 Culprit for the 171/174 trouble code.
Replaced F75Z-6C324-JB, works great, solved most of my vacuum leaks, no longer has trouble codes 171/174 and the long term fuel trim is down to 10% (was 25%). You cannot see the connector at the back of the manifold and this is where it was leaking on my 98' 5.4 Triton (16 years of service out of the old one). Replacing all the other hoses at the same time to avoid any future near term issues.
