I got this book through the author’s Kickstarter and have been looking forward to for a year or so. Was it ever worth the wait. Ms. Ravenwood has been touched by the gods and has interpreted each rune of the Elder Futhark in both painting and written exposition.If you think you don’t need another rune book, you are so wrong. The artwork alone is worth the price. Each illustration interprets the rune against a backdrop that is, in itself, an expression of the rune.The text is complete, thoughtful, and inspiring. She thinks very deeply on each rune. While keeping to the traditional meanings, she adds insight of her own.If you have an interest in runes, whether a beginner or long-time rune caster, you will find something inspiring on every page.
