Operation Joktan (Volume 1) (A Nir Tavor Mossad Thriller)

Worth a second read (after reading all the series)
Having been exposed to Amir Tsarfati's clarity in print, video, YouTube, and Telegram, I expected his first novel (co-authored with Steve Yohn, a thrilling author) to be mildly entertaining and historically precise. If you are thinking similar thoughts before reading Operation Joktan, just give up now and decide for yourself.Throughout the Nir Tavor Mossad Thriller books (now 3 in total, but hopefully not all) you're going to find rich character development and realistic bantering about the serious and trivial elements of life. There's keen buildup of intrigue without predictable developments as reality (or clumsiness) spoils the best of intentions. Those seeking a look inside international intelligence circuits won't be disappointed. Nor will those trying to imagine inner subplots of recent & current events. So, after having finished the third book (Out of the Far North), my thirst to get a closer feel for the characters led me to re-read Operation Joktan, this time with greater appreciation for aspects just glanced during the initial reading.Yes, I give each of the Mossad Thriller books my thankful endorsement. It is gratifying to know that gifted authors are exposing the risks taken by security forces, and in special cases why they are driven to risk all.

Exciting, informative, leaves you wanting more
With Amir's military background, it appears to me he wrote knowledgeably about special ops skills and resources. I also liked the book because it gave a very honest account of what 'winning' in general takes - preparation, team skills, honed senses, a bit of seeing God's hand in the results, and sometimes just plain luck. Looking forward to the next book to see what mission they encounter next, where the relationship between Nir and Nicole goes from here, and how soon Nir will be won over to God.

Really interesting
Well researched with a good storyline. Characters beg to be a little more developed but this is first in series. I'll read the next one with much anticipation.

Page turner
Set aside plenty of time to enjoy this book because it’s difficult to put down once you start reading it!Many of the events in this book actually happened. It’s neat to see how they possibly took place. With the current Mid-East conflict, this series will give some insight.

Reveals hidden dynamics
A must read for the understanding of ME thinking and dynamics among the nations. This thriller not only keeps you totally engaged but also educated. Western thinkers will enter middle eastern dynamics in a way that is understandable and insightful. I would recommend this to every reader interested in the current events of the day. Excellent writing!

Realistic and Powerfully Relevant
Set in the Middle East, the fast-paced and action-packed novel “Operation Joktan” takes you into the brutal world of extremists threatening violence and chaos and the Mossad agents sent to thwart their attacks.Entertaining, realistic and powerfully relevant in our time, tension and suspense continually escalate especially with the promise of a drone attack that threatens hundreds of lives. Yet amid all the action Amir Tsarfati and Steve Yohn dampen the intensity with moments of humor, romance and an agnostic Jew’s confrontation with the reality of Jesus Christ.Among the compelling and multifaceted cast of characters that bring the plot to life are the handsome, smart, brave and astute Mossad agent Nir Tavor and the beautiful South African model and skilled computer whiz Nicole Le Roux. It is these personalities and a team of others that keep you glued to your seat as the story flows quickly and seamlessly to a heart -stopping confrontation near the end.I thoroughly enjoyed “Operation Joktan” and intend not only to keep an eye on the complicated politics in this part of the globe but to read other books in this thrilling series.
