Uberosy Watermelon Slicer and Melon Fruit Carving Chisel Knife Scooper Spoon Baller Set 304 Stainless Steel Food Grade Sharp Blade and Ergonomic Handle

I've been offered so many of these watermelon slicers at a discount in exchange for my honest review, but this is the first one I've accepted. I mean, I kept thinking, whatever would I do with it for the 360 days a year we don't eat watermelon? But I'd been so happy with another Uberosy product (salt and pepper grinder set) that I thought I'd try this set, too.What I hadn't realized is that this watermelon slicer will be perfect to cut cantaloupe, which we eat a lot of. The indentations in the side of the slicer and the rolled steel of the handle make for a smooth and comfortable experience. The melon baller/slicer tool will also be handy. The melon baller has an air hole in it to help release the melon. Just be careful when working with either of these tools, though, because they are quite sharp.I haven't tried this with a large avocado, yet, but I'll bet it would work will for that, too.

I love the watermelon slicer and it works great for that purpose. The stainless steel is perfect since it is easy to clean, and because it is used for a wet purpose, won't rust, or discolor. The melon baller tool is OK and I can see a use for it. But the sharp part used for decorative cuts dug into my hand when using the baller side. So we tossed that into the recycle bin so we don't cut ourselves. I took a star off for this, but the watermelon slicer alone, at $8 is a great value and works perfectly.
