Great buy -- my 3-yr old loves it and keeps asking for more rides!
Purchased this for my 3yr old. It only took 20-30min to install with all tools provided in the package. Most of the time was spent on making sure the seat is leveled and the position is comfortable for my little one. The item looks simple but it's quite sturdy and fits my regular Trek bike easily. The handle allows my little one to grab on the bike as if they are really riding and steering. The footstrap provides extra safety. We also bought two other types of front-mounted kids bike seats but none of them fits my bike and my height. Overall a great buy for the price and I'm so glad I ordered the QYLS as the other brands don't fit.

Kid has loved it and gives her a new way to enjoy biking!
We bike everywhere as a family as our main mode of transport. We bought this to help our kid (3yo) to get used to balancing up on the bike and be more engaged in the biking (our main mode of kid transport is a Chariot trailer). We mainly use this for shorter commutes/trips less than 5 miles simply because the adult biking position is a little less comfortable and your pedal efficiency reduced because of a kid on front (not to mention their own tolerance for sitting up in a biking position). This product was visually identical to a product being sold at REI for 3x the price so I would assume any issues experienced would be the same with that as well, regardless of what you pay. The install was easy, but it did only work on 1 of our 5 bikes (a MTB) simply due to the way brake and gear cables were routed. If your cables are run on the top side of the top tube, or bottom side of the bottom tube, this may not work because it could pinch the cables when installed. With the install, really cranking bolts tight was important to prevent loosening or excessive wiggle. I have had to re-tighten periodically but it isn't a big deal. Use of some locking washers could really help this minor issue. We have used this seat multiple times a week for almost a year now (20+ miles ridden on it per week), and I suspect our kid will outgrow it before it is worn out. The only things that have degraded in this time is that one of the end caps on the foot pegs ripped off (doesn't affect the actual use), and the handle grips have gotten a little slipperier, but that is very remediable if it becomes an issue. It is very easy to balance with the child on there, but you should be a very confident biker for everyone's safety. For the cost compared to competitors, and the amount of glee that child has gotten out of this, there has been few things that I feel like we have gotten better value out of with our kid.

Fun way for child to ride
Product works great. Easy to install. Does not scratch the frame. Sturdy enough for my 2 year old. Can install and uninstall in a few minutes with no tools. We use it on my wifeâs and my bike and swap back and fourth as needed. We use it on a giant talon 2 mountain bike. Makes child feel more interactive in whatâs going on vs a cart or ride behind seat.

Nice seat!
Very nice seat. Easy to install and adjust to fit the bike. Seat is comfortable and kiddo enjoyed it. Good for kids who want a little more flexibility and freedom without being strapped into a cage. Highly recommended!

Pretty much just what you'd expect.
Solid and comfortable for my three year old. Skip the foot straps and nuts on the feet pegs. The foot pegs screw on and hold it in place solidly on their own. Keep the seat somewhat loose to pop it off quickly when not riding with the kid. The frame and pegs don't really affect the ride. No need to put those cheap handlebars on your bike either. The kid can hold yours just fine. The kid absolutely loves the ride! All smiles. đ

Pretty good
I have the shotgun Childs seat and didnât want to buy two for our second kid. So I cheaper out and bought this one. It works. Itâs definitely cheaper made, much lower quality. The foot pegs donât have nice knurled grip for non slip. The hardware is nowhere near as nice. But how nice does it really have to be? It totally does the same thing the higher quality shotgun bike seat does. Allows my kids to ride my bike. So I give it a solid review at 3 stars.

Worked as well as I hoped
I wanted the name brand but it was too expensive for a product that I may not like. This seat and handlebar combo has worked great so far. I have been using it with my 3 year old son. We like to mountain bike and wanted a way to take our son with us. I used the provided tools to install, which was a mistake. The seat moved around and wasn't stable. I used legitimate tools and the seat did not moved after a trip to the local mtb trails.

It works!
I have a Trek 7.3 FX and was able to make this thing fit safely and comfortably. I was hesitant to purchase the much more expensive "Shotgun" only to have it not work - they explicitly say it won't fit bikes like mine. Both the Shotgun and the QYLS are meant for mountain bikes only. After hurting my brain looking at measurements to figure out if it works, I finally just got this one to try it out. After a lot of fidgeting, my husband and I found the optimal arrangement. Our four year old loves it, and after some trial and error of installation, it doesn't shift around and feels really secure. I have plenty of room to pedal with him essentially in my lap, and I don't feel like my steering is impaired. It's so nice to have something so simple, and I can monitor him too. It keeps the center of gravity in the same place as if I was alone on the bike.
