Yes there is. One piece will go over the plastic piece and the other will go in the other plastic piece

Per our instructions: Do not use a microwave oven to heat the cup because microwave ovens can create hotspots in the cup, contents and/or components.

Q: Is this product good to use?

No it was a bad product. Moisture developed In between the 2 plastic parts immediately. Also the rubber stopper that keeps them from leaking comes out very easily. I would not buy unless your child never drops a cup on the floor and you are never going to wash it or get it wet.
