Very Good!
Excellent little amp for the money. Plugged into my Zen dac it all sounds fantastic & can very easily drive my most hard to push headphones (1300mW). Its too powerful for IEM's & lower impedance headphones. Its lacking in some features, like a gain selector, but its construction really is excellent & it is pretty cheap so I suppose they had to save money somewhere. Because of this it punches well above its weight & is a very good amp. You could even buy some replacement tubes & you may find they sound different, but the stock ones sound good to me, although I did get some GE JAN5654W just in case.

Little Audio Nerd Experiment. 10/10
Decided I'd try setting up an audiogeek experiment i.e, setting up as inexpensive a system as possible and seeing how it matches up. FX AUDIO DAC X6 feeding this as tube pre-amp and hphone amp, going into NOBSOUND NS-15G AMP powering DENON SC-N10 SPEAKERS. All bought on deal or used prices on Amazon. Superlux 668B as open- backed hphone and and HD662 for closed-backs. Using my TEMPOTEC V6 DAP as a transport via usb in to DAC. Streaming with AppleMusic and playing Flac library through Poweramp. Total cost = £240 incl. Usb c to usb a midi cable, all RCA cables. Not incl. DAP, or AppleMusic sub and Poweramp. Wow! I have to say it sounds v v good indeed!! Ok, it's no thousands of pounds giant killer but, overall it's an excellent set-up. I'm incredibly impressed.*Update* - replaced stock tubes with NOS Mullards, replaced stock OP AMPS with two £20 TI Burr Browns, added a power conditioner 6gang power strip, and put Ferrite chokes on all output ends of audio and power cables. Placed speakers on foam yoga blocks with rubber feet added to angle speakers directly at my shoulders, and plugged bass ports. Finally, added Brainwavs replacement ear pads to both headphones, and placed two makeup removal pads in each earphone to tame highs. Extra cost - £130. I'm blown away by the results! The entire system sounds more than X10 times it's price. I'm not exaggerating. It' become my go-to system, and I currently have all my high-end hi-fi gear up on eBay. What I make back will more than cover a family holiday!

Need to change the tubes
In the end it’s any enjoyable headphone amp but that wasn’t the case out the box. I wanted to try a tube amp and thought this would be a cheap place to start. I gave it several hours on the original tubes and was ready to send it back. No low end detail and harsh high end. However, I thought I’d try a set of Fosi Audio 5654W tubes. These tubes are a massive improvement. It’s now quite a fun amp. I like using it for some music, it makes a nice change to my Asgard 3. It definitely doesn’t have the detail of the Asgard but that slight tube affect is good in some situations. I tried it as a pre amp into the Asgard but that was less enjoyable than plugging the headphones into it directly. It also makes a surprisingly good gaming amp for a wide soundstage.

Great entry into using tubes to enhance your audio experience.
The product is really good, bought the MT-604 last week. It's really good for the price and build quality is very good too. Sounds lovely. and is a good entry into using tubes to enhance your audio experience.Very friendly staff and prompt action when I contacted them recently.

Brilliant amp!
I have this xDuoo MT-602 paired with an xDuoo MU-601 and it's a perfect match. I also replaced the stock tubes with the upgraded ones as recommended, and it outclasses anything in it's price range and exceeds it by a massive margin. I am using this amp with an Audeze LCD-X 2021, and sounds fantastic.

Wow I did not expect to be so shocked by sound quality and power
The media could not be loaded. Wow.. i listened to the HD600 for 7 years straight no swapping with O2 Dac and Amp for first year, then JDS ATOM with E30, then JDS ATOM with S.M.S.L DO100, now, the sound stage on my DSD and FLAC files has never been presented like with this amp. E30 was the worst dac, with this being a balanced dac, xlr 4 pin into HD600 and out into the MT-604.I am someone who listens to music for literally 16 hours a day, I know my tracks inside out and measure them with SPEK to make sure their top quality, the same files I listed to for years SHINE with this setup, I am shocked by the fact I paid less for this than the E30 which s*** its guts before 1st year whilst it was immaculate on outside (QC issue).I am definitely debating on buying the TA-20 purely for looks because THIS amp made me feel like wasting £400+ on a Bottlehead Crack + Dpeedball or H7 Euphonika amp is pointless, if I get to buy HD800s I will get back to this review because I am amazed it easily has 2x the power and IS CLEANER than my JDS Atom!

Sounds like a Fiio 5k pro, even with different tubes and different headphones.
The build quality is really good, it really looks good on the desk and you can feel it's sturdy if you pick it up or touch it. The sound quality is remarkably good, quite warm with the stock tubes and the Mullard tubes I tried them with. Paired them with HD660s, KPH 40 and Porta Pros.I tried to use the aux out on the back to my integrated amplifier but the sound quality was not that good, from what I can tell it should be plugged in a power amplifier or and integrated amplifier that can bypass it's own preamplifier. I'm currently using my Fiio 5k Pro as a dac for my integrated amplifier and it works well, so I'm not sure what the issue is.As a headphone amplifier I would definitely recommend this, although it doesn't colour the sound too much, which is something you may or may not want.

Nice while it lasted.
This unit developed a fault when the headphone jack was fully inserted into the socket the sound would only work in one ear of my headphones, worked fine for about three months before this happened & now outside the window of return. Not happy, would suggest you look at another manufacturer than this one.

Sounds Great! Plenty of Power! And Smooths Game Audio Especially!
I didn't really love using this to listen to music to with planars, although it's performance with planars are far from bad. It was with my Sennheiser HD599's though where I really felt these shine, especially while gaming! It's not quite as powerful as my Schiit Magni Heretic (2400mw @32ohms), though plenty powerful for both my somehat insensitive planar headphones and my HD599's (which are actually my highest impedance headphones @50ohms) as well as everything else and even with more sensitive 32ohms headphones like my Philips Fidelio X3 I detected absolutely no noise floor, even at highest bearable listening levels. The difference in sound quality and characteristics between using this as as a preamp for my Heretic vs using only this (as a headphone amp), vs using my Heretic alone actually didn't appear to differ much (although I only did a few couple hour A/B tests so far), except I actually really noticed a quite a noticeable and pleasurable smoothing in the sound while playing videogames I'm assuming due to the tubes. Really seems to help especially with games that offer less than stellar audio quality {Assassin's Creed: Odyssey *cough cough!*}! This is all while using my Xduoo XD-05 Plus as a DAC with analog line out (my first/prior Xduoo purchase and one I really love btw). I got this on sale at the end of Prime Day for an insane $49.99! Definitely would recommend at that price but even all the way up to MSRP as well if you're looking for a great sounding tube pre-amp/headphone amp for basically any headphones that aren't too insensitive or have too high of an impedance! Didn't notice the tube characteristics as much as I figured I would especially when listening to music, but still a great amp regardless! Hope this helps my fellow headphone junkies! 😅

Sound is very subjective. With the stock tubes not sure I find much value in this amp.
I am feeding this amp from an ifi zen dac v2 using the rear 4.4mm balanced to dual 3-pin xlr (using this: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07WTQ9M9B). I've listened to the amp using Grado SR325x, Sennheiser 600HD's and Hifiman HE400SE's with the Custom Cans grille mod all using at least 24/96 sources. Frankly I don't find the Xduoo does anything to enhance the experience. In fact I find moments where it destroys the music. With the gain on the ifi at about 2/3 and the Xduoo at 12 oclock various parts of Simon and Garfunkels "The Boxer" sound horribly distorted. When I move my headphones back to the ifi zen all sounds perfect.I do have some other tubes coming, such as the 6ZH1P-EV from russia and the AK5 JHS SYLVANIA made in 1953. Will see if that helps this so far dissapointing amp.
