Parisian-set do-gooder pigeon tale
This is rather lovely, and the setting makes it a little charming, quaint and different.A pigeon takes his job as park warden seriously. He takes care of the local people round his park, helping them in their daily lives, offering friendship. There is one window he's never been inside, and it's one he finds himself exploring unwittingly after a run-in with a dog.The resident of the closed window is a lonely girl, who through Hugo, finds her 'window on the world' is slowly opened. It's lovely seeing an isolated child brought out of herself, and the role Hugo taking in it.Enjoyed the setting through the pictures. The story could have taken place anywhere, but it was rather nice to see a hatted pigeon and another country and different styles. Lots of French names to mispronounce too.A sweet story, a heartwarming ending, and a good bedtime read.

Heartwarming story
This is such an adorable picture book set in Paris about friendship, kindness and community. Couldn't recommend it more, for adults and children alike. Especially timely in the situation the world is currently finding itself in.
