It's what it says it is.
This is a steep price for a smallish piece of extruded aluminum rectangular tube, but it IS flat on all four sides and the corners are truly square. The abrasives (adhesive-backed "sandpapers") will wear out eventually (probably sooner rather than later) and I'm hoping it'll be easy to remove them so I can replace them with new materials. I'm satisfied.

Wears out extremely FAST.
Lightly used once and the adhesive material is coming off. Ive also noticed after a few passes the adhesive material doesn't lastlong at all.

Made the job easy.
I did a fret leveling job myself. This tool made the leveling part very easy.

fixed the frets on 1/4 of guitar neck that barely needed work and the sandpaper is halfway spent.
How do I order more sandpaper refills?

Great for fret leveling, especially for minor high spots.
I got this to fix the factory defect on my mandolin, and it did a great job. I had one raised fret (7th fret, 1st string pair), and this beam was the perfect length and grit selection to get the job done. The 400 grit was perfect for blasting through blue painter's tape to FIND the high spots, and the subsequent finer grits did a great job with taking the frets down to a nice polished finish. I did have to use fret polish to detail polish things (Music Nomad's 'Frine' is my go-to), but this beam was easy to use, and got the job done evenly and smoothly. The aluminum 'box frame' is light but easy to hold, and although the stick-on papers might not last through more than a half-dozen jobs, the frame is straight and true for future jobs, even if it involves simply folding and wrapping the beam with fresh emory cloth or 'crocus cloth' for final polishing. The cinch storage pouch is also a nice minor addition to the package, to keep the beam safe from denting. This did a great job for my small project, and compared to others I've looked at, it's a great value for occasional maintenance.

A huge value compared to a Luther's fret job.
I had a big name pricey guitar I got once from a big box guitar store and the one that was on display was oh so perfect, played beautifully. They one they sold me had major fret issues and required a serious fret job including leveling and all fret ends smoothened down. It cost 200 dollars just for that, strings, fret dressing, tuning, etc. extra. Currently I have a guitar and the 2nd fret needed a level. I had no issues with the fret tool to sand it down a tad. I just used a stable circular motion on the highest grit and then kept checking after about 2 seconds to measure the height. To finish up I used some fret polish and a really soft cloth and buffed it till shined like the adjacent ones. For this price I have no complaints here. I highly recommend watching multiple YouTube videos to build confidence to do this and then tackle it.

Works but will it last?
This is a thin hollow metal tube with sandpaper on the side of it. I can confirm it works but just like a nail file, the grit wears out. I don’t know how many guitars I’ll be able to use this on. If you are just trying to do one guitar at home this would be a good solution. I wouldn’t but it for a luthier shop or anything.
