Excellent bracket if you have a shelf that is less than six inch. I'm using cedar 5"X2"

You would think they would tell you what bit to use. ⅜ is too small. 7/16 is just a tad too big but once you insert into pegs the tension makes them study enough. I would recommend finding a friend with a drill press to ensure holes are straight. I would buy again. Don’t use their anchors…but your own. Find a stud for one of the screws.

The hole in my shelfs came pre-drilled. from the factory, it was smaller than 3 inches long, which the metal insert was to long.

I am using this kit to make a 12ft long floating shelf for my den…using (3) 2x6 x 4’ boards. This will be used for pictures and frames.The brackets were easy to install using proper wallboard anchors.The anchors supplied with the kit are not usable for wallboard…they are usable for a (approx.) 3” thick solid wall.

Easy to install and sturdy

Might be the worst wall anchors I've ever attempted to use. Just awful. The brackets are great tho.

Wall anchors are terrible but brackets are solid

Anchor head depth sticks out from wall by large amount (plus bracket adds slightly more depth), so screws aren’t able to secure and they continuously spin in the anchor. My floating shelf sags by over 1/4” because the brackets/posts aren’t secure.Now I have holes in my wall that I need to patch before finding better brackets.

The wall anchors are bad. But the brackets do their job!
