Used 2 of these in my kitchen to get my outlets to code and make my home safer. They were easy to install, looping my wires around the screws was a bit of a pain for me, but I'm not an electrician and I did do it. In the end I had 2 grounded and protected outlets in my kitchen. These fit tight in my existing metal electrical boxes in the walls of my 1940 home, some people may need slimmer boxes for their older homes, I got very lucky according to my brother in law that's a electrician. Make sure you check before you buy if this will fit, I got lucky but I did not measure the depth of my boxes before I paid for product but what I learned is that old boxes were less deep then newer electric boxes.

Easy to install, work just fine, good price. I installed these as outside-facing receptacles on covered front and back porches of a primitive cabin off the grid, so not worried about code changes. I didn't think the TR flaps on the outlets were that much of an inconvenience for plugging into. With a little jiggle as you push gently, all of the different plugs (2 and 3 prong) I put in them went in without a problem. They are easy to wire and come with two different styles of face plate. However, I didn't use the supplied face plate for my outside-facing install and instead paired them with theBell MX1050S Weatherproof Single Outlet Cover (also very nice). For the price, not sure you can find a better option.

Works as designed. Was installed outdoors with rain cover to protect it. Two other brands that I bought in the past couple of months did not work because they tripped too easily. My electrician says that some can trip if the air is moist - no direct liquid water is needed to trip them. This and all of the other GFI outlets are big and hard to install in a standard sized box. It took a while to get the wiring and outlet stuffed back in the box.

I had to replace a standard interior grade receptical with a GFCI and install a weatherproof in use cover on an outside outlet. After some research this unit looked like a great choice. The product was well packaged and arrived in a timely manner. The unit appeared to be sturdy and well made but unfortunately the screw on the common line side would not tighten (screw was stripped or not engaged with the piece inside the unit that anvils the wire in place). I was unable to complete the job without a quick trip to the big box store to buy a Leviton as a replacement adding an extra hour to a simple 15 minute upgrade. These things happen and I would try again with this product should the need arise for another job. For this purchase I am reluctantly returning the product for a refund.

The GFCI is working as expected so far. My only complaint is that the "tamper resistant" guards make it a huge pain when plugging something in, especially if it is a power brick with folding prongs. The LED is nice though and you can't beat the price. The packaging is also worth noting as I felt like I was unboxing a new cell phone when it showed up. Overall it's a solid piece and I'll update if anything happens down the line.

These look great, were very simple to install myself (and I'm a very novice DIYer!), and they have held up for several months heavy use around the kitchen and breakfast room. Only two minor issues: there is a bright green light consistently on. Good to know they are on, but I'd just rather assume they work than have a light on 24/7. The other slight annoyance is that they fit plug rather tightly making it a little tricky for my younger kids to plug things in.

I always read the one star reviews before I buy something that I haven't bought before. Sometimes there are one star reviews that when read, you know the dude knows what he's talking about and you better pay attention. Reading the one stars on this product would have had me rolling on the floor,bif it weren't for the fact this device, when in the hands of an expert for installation, indeed save injuries/ lives. Obviously there are one star reviews done by people that should never feview anything that can cause injuries I installed this outlet loop

Purchased some months ago and no problems so far.Like that it comes with recessed ports to accept two pairs of wires, hot and neutral, makes set up simple and easy. LED indicator positioned near middle where it's a bit difficult to see with top outlet in use but I won't deduct a star for something so trivial. Bright white wall plate that hides attachment screws more than makes up for that; over all a very clean look. Tamper proof design takes a bit of effort to use but keeps plugs from falling out on their own.
