The R812-3 Teleprompter is very flexible. It holds a small hand held video camera or DSLR. The top platform has a slot that allows you to connect your camera using a provided wing screw. The camera will work if the distance between the female connector on the bottom of the camera to the end of the lens is less than 8.25 inches. Please remove any lens hood before measuring. The bottom of the teleprompter has a slot that connects the metal frame to your tripod and allows you to balance the teleprompter on the tripod. The teleprompter accommodates a variety of projection devices. Use the power of your Android tablet or Smartphone to project scrolling text off the reflective beam splitter glass. You may also use an iPad (all generations), or iPhone to project the scrolling text. This teleprompter was made to accommodate larger tablets such as the Microsoft Surface Pro and iPad Pro. There are two ways to secure your tablet to the teleprompter. An adjustable rubber stop wedges the tablet between itself and the back of the teleprompter. You are also provided a business card size magnet that you can adhere to your tablet or tablet case. The magnetic holds your tablet to the metal teleprompter. You can pivot the frame (that holds the glass) to an optimal 45 degrees to reflect the scrolling text projected from your tablet. When the teleprompter is not in use, you may fold the frame down to make it more transportable or for easy storage. The included black cloth provides a black background to the white scrolling text. The beam splitter glass allows 70% visible light transmission. This is the same beam splitting glass found in more expensive teleprompters, but at a significantly reduced cost. The only assembly required is to attach the black cloth.
