The exercies provided are basic movements so crucial for warm ups for a typical hatha yoga practice or even a good series for a therapeutic yoga class. The exercises are well described and many are provided for face, eyes, neck, shoulders, wrists, torso, legs, ankles and pelvis. At the end of the book there are suggestions for abbreivated sequences for a home practice.I use this book to pick a few warm up exercises for my yoga students prior to engaging in more advanced asanas. The wrists, shoulders and ankles are especially useful.If you are a beginning student, this would be a good resource to start a home practice safely and will result in benefits to your body. If you are advanced student this book provides good warm up suggestions.One more note, the book is well constucted and is sprial bound, very well made.The photos are black and white, not much for frilly things, but who needs bells and whistles with good solid content?

Great for a beginning and advanced exercise practice.
This video is excellent for someone who would like to start with a daily exercise program. It is not too hard for beginners or people with physical challenges and yet it is good for the advance exercise person. This video allowes you to stretch and exercise parts of the body that may get overlooked in a regular exercise routine. Well worth adding to your daily or weekly practice.Great to add to your exercise library.

The book itself is good, but the condition it arrived in was not
The book itself is good, but the condition it arrived in was not. The cover near the binding was bent, and there was some sort of sticky glue-like substance on the front cover that was very tough to remove. This did not look like a new book at all. Though it's a good reference, I think it's pricey for being a spiral bound book in the condition it arrived.

Highly recommend this book, especially for yoga teachers.
I have used this book for many years in my yoga teaching. It is part of the Himalayan Tradition of yoga and was developed in that tradition. The exercises are very well explained and the photos make it easy to follow. It is especially useful for people with health issues such as arthritism fibromyalgia, aging, stiffness, lack of mobility, lack of balance.

Buon inizio!
Buon libro pieno di esercizi di base eseguibili anche se non si pratica yoga; gli esercizi sono ben descritti sia a parole che dalle foto.Il livello รจ veramente base e quindi un praticante di yoga troverebbe solamente una sequenza di "riscaldamento" (forse alternativa o integrativa, ad es. io ho trovato alcuni utili spunti come la sequenza per il viso e altri singoli movimenti del collo e degli occhi che ho integrato alla mia pratica)
