This product delivers on the most essential parts of its intended use. The soft texture definitely keeps the tiles from being scratched on a hard table surface - I would even say in helps smooth out parts of the table that might otherwise be uneven, which is great! The bottom is rubber so the mat doesn't slip and slide on the table, stays in place very firmly. It is nicely styled, the typical East Asian style motif in red really rounds out the corners in a visually satisfying way. Additionally, it is a very good size. It fits quite perfectly on my rather standard-sized card table, just big enough to host 4 people comfortably. I do, however, have one complaint, for which I have lowered my rating by one star. The compass directions are not correct. North/South is backwards, or I suppose East/West is backwards - one of them needs to be switched, wouldn't matter which of the two. I was annoyed by this because I was hoping to be able to rotate the whole mat to help new players keep track of which seat they were as the game progressed, but since the directions are swapped I cannot do that and it might instead confuse someone. Admittedly it looks exactly like the picture, so it's my fault I didn't notice it when I ordered the mat honestly, but I didn't even think to check for it until I was sitting down to play the game. The quality and functionality of the product is very good, but it seems a little silly to me that they messed up something so basic as compass directions which are more than just decoration, but actually used in the game of mahjong as round and seat markers. I might also add that some Asian players might not be too keen on the inclusion of a die marked with a 4 smack in the middle of the mat. But, if you're not superstitious and you don't care about the round markers, this mat will definitely protect mahjong tiles, pai gow tiles, dominoes, or other stone, plastic, and acrylic game pieces from scratching and slipping, and it will fit very nicely on your fold-away game tables.

It works just fine. The colors are vivid and it protects the card table. I have only used it a few times so I cannot attest to it’s longevity.

Poor Quality. Purchased in March 2022, used it 6 times. Already falling apart. I have missed the window for return. Very disappointed in how it's holding up.

I love this! Chosen because it rolls up nicely into a carry case. When I travel with this game it’s easily taken along now. My mat is always clean and crease free.
