Good for Hives!
I suffer with LONG (weeks to months) hive attacks often. My skin is so sensitive and irritated with a current case of hives WITH contact dermatitis according to the doctor. Ordered this soap crossing my fingers it would not make it worse. It’s a LIFE SAVER! Anytime my rashes begin to itch and sting I do a Luke warm, almost cold wash with this soap and the relief is immediate. It seems to shrink the hives and relieves the itching immediately. The bar holds up well and will last a LONG time. I used to buy from a local source and the bars are soft and dissolve quickly, THIS bar does NOT dissolve quickly, it is huge, hard and has a wonderful lather! It also smells so good that everyone in the family has asked if they can use it. It is so effective at relieving my hives that I don’t wish to share it. :)

Makes skin soft and clean
I continue to use this brand of soap. The cost has gotten higher over the years, but this soap lasts a very long time . Some other comparable soaps, costs are a little lower, some a bit more. This is my favorite. The smell is light and doesn't linger. This soap makes the skin, soft, smoothe, and feels so very nice and clean. I have my husband and my son using this soap now, and they love it. Next, I'll get some for my brother. When you find such a good product, that you love, you really want those you love, to experience, such a wonderful feeling on the skin. I've told many friends and family to just try it. A couple of bars is a great little gift. As an elderly, I really recommend for the older skin. It's great for all ages, so gentle and hydrating, with no feeling of any residue left, on the skin.

Amazing scent, great soap!
I can thank my mom for turning me on to Beekman 1802 products, although it took a little convincing on her part, especially given the price tag. But after she gifted me a couple bars of their soap for my birthday a couple years ago, I've been hooked.First of all, it is truly a moisturizing soap. The antibacterial bar soap I'd been using prior certainly got me clean, but it was also notoriously drying – so if I didn't moisturize immediately after toweling off, my skin would start to tighten, crack, and turn ashy. With the Beekman soap, it never feels as though my skin is screaming for moisture after bathing anymore. Particularly during the winter months, I'll still moisturize anyway, but it's no longer a sprint to the bottle of lotion. And my skin is noticeably less red, sensitive, and "angry," particularly on days where I bathe more than once.Secondly, the scents are amazing. My old standby used to be their Vanilla Absolute, until I received a bar of their Fig Leaf version in a sampler pack, and I fell in love. It's a hard fragrance to describe, but it's definitely not overly florid. Slightly fruity and a bit sweet, but with a hint of woodiness – not overtly feminine or masculine. A nice in-between scent. That said, I've tried a number of their other scents, and they do them all very well. I didn't find any of them too perfume-y or offensive.Lastly, it's surprisingly good value for money. It's tempting to scoff when you see the price tag, because it does SOUND like a lot for a single bar of soap. BUT the 9oz. bars are 2-3 times the size of normal bar soap and far more dense, so they last a lot longer. If I shower once a day, a single bar lasts me almost 2 months. During the summer months when I'm showering twice a day (I live in Florida, where it's so humid that the state flower is officially mildew), one bar will still last me 4-6 weeks. In short, highly recommended! I've been using them for a couple years now, and I don't think I'll ever go back to the big commercial soaps!

Quality!
I bought the Honey & Oats scent and I’m loving it. Worth the money, this bar is big and lathers almost immediately (when washing my hands in the sink, it lathers at the 3rd or 4th turn) so I expect this bar to last a long time. I can’t imagine a better smell, but I’ll take other commenter’s suggestions and try the Fig and Vanilla bars next. Non greasy, yet leaves my skin smooth and soft. In this particular scent, there are minuscule pieces of seeds or something that give it a very very slight exfoliating texture, which I’m fine with because it keeps the bar from being slippery in my hands or when I put it in the soap dish. It’s very light but if you need a perfectly smooth bar, maybe try another scent? I’m hooked!!

Luxurious Soap
I got the Pure Unscented. This bar of soap is large, so it feels like a good value for the price. It lathers up really well with soft and thick suds. It is truly unscented: there’s no weird smell, no chemical smell, it’s just totally neutral. My skin didn’t feel as dry as it usually does after my shower.
