Lampwork, Beadmaking, Two Ceramic Fiber Blankets. 1 x 8 x 12 inches

Exactly as Advertised and exactly what I wanted. It’s the perfect size and does what it supposed to do. It came in the mail in less then a week and I live in Alaska

Used this blanket to insulate an oil filled radiator between the inner control panel/ thermostat, and the last radiant heat fin of the radiator. Apparently this has slipped the attention of all the manufactures of these types of heaters (over time and exposure to this kind of extreme heat, causes malfunction to the controls and has caused fires). These blankets were perfectly cut and were able to be wedged in between the above mentioned to provide a degree of protection. Obviously this is not the intend use for this blanket, but it was the best that I could come up with to preserve the longevity of my heater and make them safer.

Purchased not for doing bead making, but instead to build a propane forge. I purchased this instead of getting far pricier kaowool. It worked marvelously. I was able to heat treat a 16", 1/4" thick camp knife I'd made. Holds up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit just fine.

This is the second time I have purchased this item but on my second order, I ordered two. They expect you to cut the one blanket in two in order to get two blankets of what feels like highly compressed fiberglass. After using it for a very short time the blanket starts to fray, losing its edges into tiny chunks of fiber. They don't last very long.

My fiber blanket was exactly what I expected. Two pieces, 1 inch thick, and not too large. Packaged well, arrived lightening fast. I ordered on a Friday afternoon and received it the following Monday. I don't know how they managed that. It should be noted that the actual fiber blanket of this size is less expensive on their website, however I priced out the shipping there versus free shipping here, and I saved by ordering through Amazon. I will be ordering from Devardi Glass, again.

Love this thermal blanket. Simple. Nothing to brag about. Helped keep my glass from shattering when cooling off!

This is the best alternative to an annealing oven. I just wish it was bigger for the price.

I use this for baking my polymer clay sculptures on. Does not alter the shape of my clay items or leave a flat or shiny side like aluminum foil or paper would. Thank you!
