Read the instruction sheet that comes with it.
Read inst. have them at your side when you install. If you use the rubber inserts make sure tighten them to the max with screwdriver, not a power driver.

Sturdy with slow close feature
The slow close feature is essential and very sturdy.

Cleaning is hard
works great soft closing. cleaning around the hinges is very difficult. I am considering getting a different type

Used the old screws
I used the old screws and receptacles from the old toilet seat I was replacing -- all I used of the new parts were the rubber pieces that fit under the hinges. The instructions for using the new screws etc. were confusing -- why bother with them? The result was completely satisfactory.

Rather cheaply made
The lid fit my toilet but it shifts back and forth on the toilet. My husband hates it. I would not recommend it.
