Crescent Marketing & Distribution River City: Rival Showdown (Limited Riki Keychain Edition) - Nintendo 3DS

Pra quem vivenciou a era dos anos 80 e 90 dos games é um excelente título. Um prato cheio pra um gamer OldSchool como eu, onde a gameplay e uma história simples, coesa e objetiva importava, fator replay bem alto, motiva fazer todas as missões que existem no jogo. Muito bom reviver a era 8 bits e 16 bits novamente com este jogo!

This is a great game. A bit too complex for my son, but overall the River City Ransom games are quality.

As a long time fan of the Kunio-Kun and River City series I can safely say this is the definitive version of River City Ransom. It is a close shave after the oft overlooked and equally great remake for the Game Boy Advance "River City Ransom: EX."To sum up this game it is a side scrolling beat 'em up in the vein of Double Dragon, Final Fight and many others but with a delightful art style that is unique to this series. The characters are very expressive with big faces, hair and uniforms that immediately tell you who they are. One thing though because this is a Japanese series there are many eastern oriented things that might be jarring to non-Japanese players such as the names of the characters. Kunio was Alex in River City, Riki was Ryan, Yamada was slick, etc.In this remake of River City Ransom you now a 3 day period to finish all the quests and side quests that make up the overall story. You can receive several different endings based on which quests you did or didn't do. As you fight more enemies you will gain EXP like an RPG game, by using a move enough times you'll unlock additional moves and improved versions of moves you're using i.e. dragon kick becomes Dragon kick v2 and finally SUPER Dragon kick. The stamina meter in this game serves as a "Super meter" for special moves, the more you use super moves the faster your meter will deplete. By fighting enemies and doing high damage it will replenish accordingly. For example if you kick someone and it does 25 HP damage you'll gain 25 STAMINA. Like other games in this series you can visit shops, restaurants and dojos.Shops sell things such as food items, unlike prior entries though they have different properties and take a certain amount of time to eat. This means that if you go to "TECH BURGER" (formerly known as Merv's Burgers) it will take 30 minutes to eat, replenish your health to full and up your punching power +10 for 1 hour. This is important because your game is divided into 3 days and in those 3 days there are 3 cycles to each individual day. At 3:00pm to 5:00 is afternoon, 5:00 to 7:00 is evening and 8:00 to 11:00 is night time, the day ends at midnight.This game is initially very difficult from a new start and it is recommended to start on easy mode, even if you would think that medium mode is the go-to for veteran players. The difficulty change between the two modes is that in medium mode the enemies take much less damage and deal much higher damage to you which will make grinding to improve a steeper challenge and can be extremely frustrating against bosses.This game also includes a 1 v 1 fighting game called "Double Dragon" it is a pretty simple game and could be fun for a couple of players or by yourself but is nothing all that special. What is kind of neat about it is the fan service that it has where there are music tracks from the NES Double Dragon games and Billy & Jimmy Lee from the Double Dragon series are playable as well.This game also does what a lot of recent Kunio games have done and provides a character biography section, music list and a list of unlockable special moves including ones that are exclusive only to boss characters.Overall, this is probably the best entry in the Kunio series, my one gripe is that you can't play as Riki/Ryan by himself and have to play as Kunio, but Riki is in the game and can be the 2nd player character if you have another friend with a copy of this game as well.If you like Beat 'em ups, NES games, side scrollers, RPG's and wacky shenanigans like a kid friendly version of GTA and Yakuza this is the where I'd say its a worthy investment.

Un clásico de la NES muy bueno, excelentes condiciones del juego y de la caja del mismo. Trae un coleccionable muy bueno. Lo he probado apenas y su jugabilidad no se diferencia del clásico de NES. La única pega es que viene en inglés y hubiese estado genial ver una traducción del mismo, pero no es juego que compremos mucho en Latinoamérica.

My copy of this game will remain sealed for now.Why??Well i live in England and the 3ds is region locked.It's annoying we didn't get a hardcopy,Sadly not exactly unexpected.Well the game can be bought from the eshop.It's a fun game that plays quite a lot like double dragon and other similar old skool games.When i saw this was available i just had to have a copy.I plan to buy a used USA 3ds at some point, so i can play this and other hardcopy uSA games.My copy arrived in a week and contains the keychain.So i'm pretty happy!!Check it out on youtube if you don't know this title.Will be buying Shin Megahmi iv and Code of princess next.Thanks 3ds lovers everywhere!🐒
