TubolitoTubo BMX 20" 1.5-2.5", 42mm Presta Valve, Orange

I have raced bmx for over 42 years and still do. Won the USA BMX Michigan State Championship final in 2021. Currently ranked #3 in the State and have gone through lots of tubes over the years. Never felt a lighter inner tube and perfect for the custom Sun Envy/Box wheelset I just laced together. I love 365 Cycles and always trust them as a top notch Amazon seeler!

I ride BMX bikes and bought some of these tubes. They are pretty lightweight and do create a noticeable difference in the feel of the bike.However the valve stem on these tubolitos i received is a 2-piece design though i have seen the 1-piece ones on others bikes. The top part of the stem can come loose and cause the tube to act as if there is a hole in it. It can be tightened and the problem will cease but definitely scared me at first! Once properly tight they function quite well.Another slight drawback is if you ride brakes you must be very cautious to not overheat your rim by riding your brakes often. Not an issue for me as I mainly use my brakes for tricks. Supposedly the heat from the rim can melt the tube!The main drawback is the price. I cant honestly say that the price is worth it as the product doesn’t function as well as the rubber tubes that are 5$. In my case I felt it necessary to spend the money as I really like new tech in BMX and they do make your bike feel not just lighter but faster and more responsive in general. If they made them for 6$ theyd be perfect.

Beware these are orange stems not gold like the pics. I wanted the older gold ones but orange came.Best tubes!

After installing the tubolito, it would not hold air. Bubbles came out of the valve stem as the air appeared to be leaking from the top of the stem. This is extremely disappointing as this was a birthday gift from my wife. I do not recommend ordering this and I will be sending this back ASAP. I have had great success ordering directly from the manufacturer but, in this case it was a gift. I wouldn’t even put a star as I wasn’t able to use the product at all but, that’s not an option.

I thought these tubalitos were susceptible to flats but they feel and work way better than rubber tubes. No fluctuations in tire pressure at all and they feel firmer with less tire pressure thank rubber tubes. The lightweight is a plus and makes for a lighter wheel set up. BMX FOREVER!

Ich habe bereits mehrere Tubolitos für meine BMX Räder bestellt und nutze diese dauerhaft. Hier bei Amazon habe ich zuletzt 2 bestellt und beide sind nach dem Einbau an der Ventilschweißnaht kaputt gegangen. Das kenne ich schon. Auch bei anderen Händlern. Bedeutet für mich, dass es am Hersteller liegt. Liegt ja auf der Hand. Einen dritten Versuch wage ich hier noch. Grundsätzlich sind die Tubos top. Man merkt den Unterschied als geübter Fahrer sofort. Sprünge fühlen sich leichter an und Tricks ebenfalls. Sogar das Geräusch bei derberen Landungen ist anders als bei üblichen Schläuchen. Irgendwie praller. Die Tubolito S-BMX Variante nutze ich sogar mit Carbonfelgen und Felgenbremse. Funktioniert bis dato tadellos im Bezug auf Hitze und eventueller Schäden dadurch. Nix passiert.
