The one I purchased did come with a cover. However, it was a special that was 'left over' from Thanksgiving and I was buying it for Christmas.This knife is very appropriate for meat.

I love this knife. It is very sturdy. Cuts really well. Be careful, it is very, very sharp. Best knife I’ve bought. My son is a “foodie” and recommended it when I was looking for a good knife. He has other knives that are very expensive, but tried this because someone recommended it to him. He was shocked at how good it was. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this knife. I sharped it without any problems. Make sure to get the sleeve to keep it safe.
