There Was a Light: The Cosmic History of Chris Bell and the Rise of Big Star

I can't muster enough superlatives to relate how much I enjoyed this book. Even as a long-time Big Star fan, there was a ton of material and content here that was completely new to me. Lots great insight into Chris Bell's (too-short) life especially. A must have for any Big Star collection.

The absolute best book on Chris Bell and Big Star I’ve ever read. You get the story from the folks who were their first hand...Alex Chilton fans should give it a read too.

I loved that the author used actual quotes to tell the story. A really fine book for all Big Star lovers
