The flowers aren't stinky. They are plastic, but not dusty.

you can try to take the lavender out of the burlap bag and put it in a suitable vase, then maybe the visual is better.

Q: Does it smell like lavender? If so does the smell last?

It doesn't have a lavender scent but if you tuck a cotton ball with some lavender essential oil into the plant...works great

Q: Is this made from plastic?

The "flowers" are some sort of plastic, yes. Easy to clean with some compressed air and no worry if it gets wet (we have ours as decor in our bathroom).
