The brackets are definitely strong enough and they have a pretty durable finish. The mounting bolts are a bit overkill if you're mounting to a wood sided wall. I sealed mine out for a little shorter stainless steel lag bolts. The bolts supplied for mounting the compressor are too short to allow for lock washers so I swapped them for some longer stainless bolts as well. Still a good investment.

This mini split condenser bracket arrived quickly and was packaged as to protect it on the way. The bracket was easy to install and is of quality material that should hold up for years to come. I used these brackets on a dual unit and a single condenser and they helped me with reducing the visibility and my use of space.

Check fit. It is not wide enough for the 18K mini-split. Found this out after I installed it on the wall.

The hinged arms did not lower to a 90 degree angle relative to the vertical member. I hoped the weight of the mini-split (a 9000BTU unit) would create sufficient 'bend' to correct the problem, but in the end I had to use a half inch of washers on the inboard mounting points to level the mini-split. On the same theme, the vertical members come with screw-adjustable pads so for overlapped plank-type walls you can mitigate the unevenness. The adjustable pads are definitely useful in specific circumstances, but on a flat, vertical walls they don't apply. The gap to the wall measured at 7 inches (being generous here) which is considerably less than the 1 foot recommended by the manufacturer. To be fair I've rarely seen mini-splits installed with sufficient clearance and given the (angular moment) weight imposed on the two arms I can appreciate why 12 inches might be hard to achieve with this type of mounting. Aside from these two points, the arms are well made and very easy to mount. Came with some admirably chunky screws! Although I was able to align both the mount arms into vertical studs, I was uneasy about trusting this assembly on my stucco walls - the primary reason being the polystyrene/chicken wire underlay that is routinely used here in Arizona on new house construction. I had visions of the stucco caving-in over time. Should add this did not happen on the day of installation so I'm speculating. In the end I decided to build my own stand which sits on adjustable feet and is bolted through a spacer sub-assembly to the wall (for stability). Overall I regard this item as well made, sturdy enough for most deployments, and aside from the two issues noted, probably fit-for-purpose in most situations. However I would not recommend on stucco walls and with heavier mini-split units. Unfortunately i could not find a quality, wall-braced stand which is why I made my own. Seems to be a missed market opportunity here! One minor addendum. The bolts used to secure the mini-split to the arms are barely long enough. In an ideal situation they work, but when I started to pad the mounts with washers (to get the mini-split level) they quickly became unusable. I'd suggest the manufacturer ship bolts that are at least another half inch to inch longer!

These are what you would expect for the low price. They do work fairly well for mounting an outside mini-split unit, but have a couple of issues to consider: 1. The built in level is a great idea, but it was obviously out of level when I used it to mount the bracket. Luckily I noticed before drilling the second hole and got my level to check it with. As you can see in the photo, it's not just a little bit off. So in the end, the built in level does more harm than good. They may not allow have this problem, but just know that you will need to use your own level to be sure. 2. Does not quite provide the recommended 12" back clearance between the unit and the wall for good air flow. I mounted it as far forward as I could and have 10" of clearance. This is a small 12K BTU unit, so it is a best case. Larger units will have less clearance. Other than that, it's pretty decent. Once the legs of the AC units are bolted down with the included bolts, it's fairly rigid and secure. I won't worry about it wobbling or sagging.
