Not a BAD vacuum, but there are issues Canadian customers should know about.
This vacuum works very well and the battery lasts long enough to run through our condo at MAX suction without having to recharge.The remote control isn’t reliable, I may try replacing the batteries that the unit came with.The Euereka robot skill necessary to work with Alexa is NOT available for activation by Canadian Amazon users, only American Amazon customers. I tried to get access to the skill by creating an American Amazon account, but that didn’t work either.,I spoke with the Amazon.ca technical support and the technician tried to help, but he wasn’t able to. Amazon wasn’t aware that the skill wasn’t available to Canadian customers and are trying to make it available. Works well with my iPhone app though.UPDATE: Jan 9, 2021Unfortunately, I was unable to get the skill made available to Canadian customers.I called Eureka and after quite some time waiting while the Service Representative tried to find an answer, she eventually came back on the phone and told me that it was a problem Amazon.ca had to rectify, not Eureka. She apologized for the inconvenience and the call was ended.Ugh.I had waited a little longer to see if Amazon Canada would release the skill, but it never happened.I started to worry about running out of time to return the vacuum , as the Alexa skill IS something I want.As the days passed, I noticed many vacuums have replacement parts available like brushes, rollers, bags, etc. I looked to see if Eureka parts are easy to order.It turns out that you can’t get THOSE without ordering them for the US either, which means long wait times for delivery, not to mention the extra shipping charges!I decided enough was enough. Time to return the vacuum before it was too late.Amazon, as usual, was Amazing! They agreed to the return. I packed the vacuum and used the provided shipping label. Within minutes of dropping it off at my local UPS Store, I received a notification saying my refund has been sent to my credit card.By the way, no shipping fees for the return either!Amazon rocks! Eureka, well, not so much.We decided to get the iRobot Roomba i6+. It has a significantly higher price tag, but with the auto-emptying base, intelligent mapping, voice command (I can even set the vacuum to operate when we’re not home), etc., it is SO WORTH IT!!!

Does not last long
After a few months and rarely using this robot vacuum it no longer functions. It started out well when it was new but soon after maybe after a dozen uses it no longer charges whatsoever.

Do not purchase!
Do not buy this product! I bought one in August and for the first month it worked so well besides sometimes getting stuck. However, after a month, it kept stopping after about a minute of running. The app said there was an error with the main brush (nothing was stuck or caught in it). I called customer service, they took down my information and asked me to send my Amazon receipt. After three weeks of not hearing anything back, I called again today. They had no explanation for why no one got back to me and had no suggestions to fix my vacuum. They said they would just send me a receipt. I was able to use this product for one month.I unfortunately had encouraged my mom to purchase this product too before mine broke and hers is having the same issue, so this definitely seems like it is a frequent issue with the vacuum.

Does not pick up well. Leaves trails of debree. Seems lost.
I bought this because we have a short haired dog and I was hoping to sweep a bit less. I still sweep just as much and I have to clean up behind this vacuum.My dog has fairly short hair (she's a rottweiler mix) and her hair gets caught in the brush (see picture). I have to clean it out of the brush all of the time. After the first few uses (and I cleaned it out each time) hardly anything even gets to the dust cup (see picture). It just collects in the brush and then falls on the floor.It also seems lost all of the time. I was hoping that over time it would do better at navigating my living room and kitchen but it gets stuck in corners constantly. I will tell it through my Alexa to "go home". When you tell it to go home it is supposed to dock in the base and sometimes it will go into another room!My home is all hard wood and I have a rug at the front and back door. Every time it goes over a rug it leaves a few wads of hair and whatever else managed to get stuck in the brush (see picture).I have tried changing settings and cleaning patterns in the app but nothing has helped.I was going to return this but I decided to give it a few weeks and try different settings and of course life happens and I missed the 30 day window to return it. So I guess I'm out the money I paid for it.I don't like writing bad reviews and rarely do so, but I wanted to with this product because I am so disappointed with it and want to give potential buyers a head's up.
