CAUTION - Inconsistent Sizing and Quality
Purchased one pair of socks (black, size Large) based on positive reviews. Tried them once and then ordered a second pair in the same size, but different color. Second pair is noticeably different in size, despite both being marked "L". I realize these are compression socks and the unworn photo can be deceiving, but what is not deceiving is the fact that trying both on, one fits well with "snug" compression, while the other requires physical effort to force onto the foot. Completely different "feel" between the two colors of same size. Disappointingly, two washings later I discovered on the original pair that fit well, that the seem on the inside ankle cuff was coming unraveled. I'm sorry to report my experience has not been like the other Amazon Reviews.

Great socks for cycling
I bought these for road biking. I was skeptical that they would be too restrictive given their compression level but that it not the case. They fit so nicely in all the right places - they really hug the feet well and do not bunch up at the toes. I will purchase more in other colors over time. I like the special edition colors/patterns that Swiftwick has but don't agree with their dual sizing for them. Socks should be S, M, L, XL not S/M and L/XL.

Debris magnets
These socks are fine for golf or for any number of other clean athletic activities. However, they are not suitable for yard work or anywhere else where they may be subject to debris. Some wood chips from a chain saw fell into my shoes, and would not come off of the socks, particularly the textured fabric at the bottom. I picked at it for a while, and put them in the wash, but that only shook a few chips loose. They were wearable, but it has taken several machine washings, interspersed with plucking, before they are almost clean again. A similar caveat applies to lawn mowing, weed whacking, and so forth, although grass clippings are not as tenacious as wood chips.Summary: they seem good for athletic activity including walking, but for work situations that generates debris you would do well to look elsewhere.

The Mona Lisa
Swiftwick claims that if creating socks was an art, the Aspire would be their Mona Lisa. Well I don't know anything about what all goes into making socks, but I can tell u, this does carry a Mona Lisa price... and it's well worth it. Never did it cross my mind that I would pay close to $20 for a pair of socks, but this socks is so top notch that I wouldn't mind picking up another pair. It's the only socks I want to wear for cycling. Too bad pictures can only convey visual descriptions so I can't make you feel how they actually feel. I guess u can still appreciate the look of them tho.The socks in my pics are for Aspire Four, size medium.Highly recommended

Socks for road biking
I was looking for a pair of neon-yellow socks for road cycling. I've seen others wearing this brand and thought I'd try it. They have some compression which I wanted. They have the bright fluoro color. I have narrow feet and the only issue is that they are a bit wide in the toe area. I can see and feel a little extra material in the toe box, but not enough to say these are bad socks. I would consider buying another pair. They are well made and wash well. I let them air dry after washing and they are fine.

Sizing is important
I had bought a size Large a year ago & tried several times to wear & was unable to. Sizing chart indicated I should have bought a Large for my size 9.5 feet, but the sock was was to small. I have now ordered and received & worn a size XLarge and this pair fits perfect.

Just What I Needed.
I was wearing low cut ankle socks when cycling longer distances and noticed that my feet and ankles were swelling a bit. I ordered these higher-cut crew compression socks. I made my first ride wearing them today and did not experience any puffiness. They fit perfect (size 9 shoe - ordered Medium), are extremely comfortable and offer the compression that my feet needed. Highly recommended.

Comfortable and bright
The color is a pop of brightness to help keep my husband safe while he's cycling. He says they are very comfortable and his feet no longer go numb in his cycling shoes. They are well worth the cost. He did say they wouldn't keep his feet warm for winter riding but he doesn't do much of that.

These are compression socks!
i have skinny calves and I couldn't wear them! I gave them to a 10-year old relative who's also skinny. She had a slight ring aroujnd her calf. But, she said it was okay. Quality and color are fantastic though... such a pity
