London Stitch and Knit: A Craft Lover's Guide to London's Fabric, Knitting and Haberdashery Shops

This book makes me want to go back to London right now! Leigh's picks are exactly the types of shops I can get lost in, and she's found so many of them. Her photos are elegant captures of the mood inside, and special gems hidden in those large spaces. I love how the TOC is arranged by locale so it feels like you're on a journey as you move through the book. The map at the front of each section carry that feeling through. Such a beautiful piece of art.

Fantastic book, cannot wait to visit these shops. Wonderful text and all the eye candy photos made for a wonderful read. This is a keeper! Oh, I got my book on time and in great condition.

Very engaging book. The lovely photographs invite one to open the book. However, the text will keep your attention. Not only are the descriptions of the shops very detailed, they communicate the unique ambiance of each individual shop.

This book is amazing ! It is such a fun read. It has so much information . I love it . I can't wait to go to London .

Wonderful book! Beautifully written with lovely photographs!

This is an absolutely wonderful book........no London craftsperson should be without it!!! As the title indicates, it lists a great many craft supply shops in London - the items that are stocked include beads, buttons,,haberdashery, knitting yarn and accessories, ribbon,sewing kits fabrics (silk, cotton, linen......) anything we could possible need, I know some of the shops, and I am glad to see the author has included my local craft shop, The Village Haberdashery in West Hampstead.The book is beautifully designed and produced, with a wealth of wonderful photographs illustrating the products, an absolute feast for the eyes.

Outre le fait que ce livre soit un bon guide pour trouver son bonheur, à Londres, en matière de couture etc, il est également un très bel objet, richement documenté, et très agréable à parcourir.

Love this book - full of inspiring photographs of the shops, many of which I didn’t know existed. Now planning a trip to visit them all! Originally saw the book in Loop, the wonderful knitting shop in Camden Passage so was very pleased to find this perfect but second hand copy on Amazon at a bargain price.

This is a gem of a book, for London dwellers and visitors alike. So many new shops on my list to visit along side some more familiar ones which have reminded me to visit again! So many inspiring photos, I really enjoyed this book. A great reference book for when I need to find something specific when in London too.
