As long as you understand what this fitting fits 1st pic is the pipe that broke inside a 2 inch T 2nd pic shows how this fittings is able to be glued over the T saving way less time and money.

Great product, is made to extend a 2 inch PVC pipe that already has a cut fitting on the end. So if your trying to extend a 2 inch PVC pipe you will need a 2 inch coupling as well.

well, so this item does not actually fit inside or outside a 2" PVC pipe, as the product description would suggest. It turns out that it fits around the outside of pipes that are 2.73 inches OD.... so... this means it will fit around some 2" fittings, but it's really going to depend on the OD of your particular fitting. It would be nice if the product description would include such info as the dimensions of the product, and what specific applications it is designed for... maybe even specify the allowable tolerance for the mating fitting OD...

I had to cut off a 2" flex hose too close to the jet fitting to use a regular coupler. In case it isn't perfectly clear, the large end of this fitting fits over the outside of a normal 2" female fitting or coupler and the small end of this fitting is the same OD as a 2" tube or pipe and the ID of the small end is the size of the outside of 1-1/2" tubing or pipe. I was having a hard time trying to come up with something that would work until I ran across this, perfect!

Many confusing reviews, some of which contradict each other. This is accurate: the smaller end is Schedule 40 2" PVC. It DOES NOT fit into 2" PVC. The larger end goes over a Schedule 40 PVC 2" connector. Without replumbing a Jandy valve, I can cut out a leaky section of 2"PVC where it meets my existing connector and place the larger end over the connector. See photo.

Received this good quality item quickly after ordering as our pool plumbing got damaged in Texas winter storm and due to supply shortage, repairs were being delayed. This part saved us lots of money otherwise we would have to replace almost entire plumbing of the return side

This is a great idea and exactly what I was looking for, but it took a Dremel tool and a lot of time to shave down the inside of the fitting in order to get this to slide onto my 2" pipe. In the end I was able to get it to fit and had no leaks but this definitely could be improved upon.

Does not fit into a schedule 40 pvc pipe like original advertised. The small end is essentially a schedule 40 2” pipe. The seller was quick to respond but the product will do me no good.
