Disappointed not really Native American
The book is very basic copy paste and I was shocked to see a section on the importance of vaccines for children which most natural herbalists would not even comment on as vaccines are not natural.

Uninformative
The photos have obviously been photocopied from other sources. The "descriptions" under each photo are just a couple of sentences about "information" that does not matter at all like for catnip, I'm paraphrasing because I already sent mine back, but it was like: cats love this so they will crawl in it. How happy will that make you to watch? The sections did not stay on topic and offered less information that a google search would produce. It's not specific to native americans at all. I am not surprised it has such a good overall rating though. This is my second attempt to warn people away because Amazon refused my first bad review in which I stated: All of the good reviews must have come from the "author's" friends and family. Don't waste your money. Extraordinarily poorly written and ridiculously uninformative. Spend the money on an herbalist book that is actually good... there are a lot of them. That was the absolute truth, but the site didn't like it.

Herbs for healing
More and more people are turning to natural healing through herbs. This book tells you a little about the spiritual history. It teaches you how to find, prepare, dry, and store your herbs. This book has eighty seven plants and how to identify them and there usage. Also has thirty seven common sicknesses and how to heal them. But what I like is the fact that it has one hundred and fifty healing recipes.

Learn the ancient natural way of healing
Learning about how herbs are used to heal our bodies is a topic I enjoy studying. When I saw this book I knew I had to purchase it. Getting information from the original people of the land sounded amazing to me . Unlocking the secret of different plants and how they can help with different illnesses is phenomenal. I can't wait to start stocking up and growing my own healing remedies for myself and my family. These books provided me with a great deal of information to be able to do so and took me on a spiritual knowledge adventure about Native Americans as well.

Pretty bad
I would definitely not recommend this book. There's a lot of points in the book where it looks like they wrote an incomplete thought and never actually finished writing. A big chuck of it, listing the herbs, is literally just describing what they are without going into how they're used. Even as a beginner book this is pretty useless.

All-natural way to heal and prevent sickness
This book starts off by explaining a little about Spiritualism. It also explains all the different types of herbs you can use for remedies and how to use them. This is a very interesting book and, I honestly believe that I am going to give some of these an honest try.

Recipes for making your own medicine
One of the best parts of the book is that the author provides step by step recipes on making your own tinctures. The author also provides clear, colorful photographs to ensure correct identification of plants and herbs to use from your garden,

An awkward sized book with vague instructions
In the past month, I've ordered three herbalist books in a quest to find the right one. I returned the first two, this one being among them. While I'm happy to say I did manage to find a herbalism book I love and will actually use (third time's the charm, right :P), I wanted to leave this review for anyone who's just getting into herbalism and is looking for their first book on the subject. Or even someone who just wants to further their herbalism knowledge.I was excited about this book because it was affordable and seemed to contain exactly what I needed. But when I got it, my first impression was that it was a very awkward size that would prohibit me from taking it with me when I left the house and even made it a bit annoying to read unless I was sitting at a table and had it splayed out on a hard surface. But the awkward size of the book is just a minor complaint. My real issue was the content of the awkwardly sized book. :PSome of the information is interesting enough, but when you get to making things like decoctions and poultices, there's very little guidance. There are plenty of recipes and herb profiles, but it's all sort of useless without walkthroughs on how to properly making the infusions and all that stuff. A herbalism book is no herbalism book without that basic information. In this book's defence, it's clearly trying its best to be thorough and informative. I would have liked this book if only it had the techniques it missed. But I still wouldn't have kept it. The awkward size really really got to me :P
