UK42 Baritone Ukulele

For the price, I said what the heck. Turned out to be well built. All solid wood (NATO Mahogany??) Plays and sounds great after I leveled the frets, filed the nut slots to my liking, lemon oiled the fret board and bridge saddle and put on some Aquila 23U Nylgut Baritone GCEA (High G) nylgut strings. If you have the skills to do your own basic setup this is a great foundation to work from and makes a nice campfire uke. It came with some black plastic strings that were supposed to be DGBE with a high D or it could have been strung backwards. So plan on replacing the strings. Aquila RED 89U Baritone DGBE (2 wound strings) would work great if you want a traditional Baritone uke sound. Got a nice soft case from Strings by Mail for $24. If you know nothing about the setup stuff I mention then spend the $ and go to a shop like MimsUkes.com or Elderlyinstuments.com.

Nice instrument with a very low action and good sound.

For the price it's good value. Thought I might need to set it up as mentioned by another reviewer, however it plays well and has good action and voice.........rv
