Lovely needles but read my review
If you have read any of my reviews of Knitpro items you will know I love the stuff. This item arrived fast and the needle tips feel wonderful. As I have a red polka dot knit bag I have decided to keep the new case instead of decanting the new needles into another holder. I added a few small accessories to the zip up bag and decided to add some cables in different sizes thus the packet of cables was too large to fit in the zip-up so they fit in the side pocket of my bigger knitting bag.I then had a closer look at the needles tips and discovered a mistake by KnitPro.The needle tips are in beautiful colours and made so well - of the eight pairs there are two very similar pairs in blue and the same in brown.I took out one of the pink ones (both marked 5.00mm) but it did not feel right. I slid one into a Knitpro measure and discovered that both the pink needles are not 5.00mm at all they are 5.50mm instead. The pair of pink needles actually measure 5.50mm which is the marked size of the lighter brown colour which fit correctly in the 5.50mm hole of the Knitpro measre. All other needle tips are correct thickness except the pink ones.Actually this suits me at the moment as I am knitting blankets with two thicknesses of doubleknitting yarn on 5.50mm so I will be keeping the pack but sorry Knit Pro it is only FOUR stars this time.I just hope if I buy a pair of 5.00mm Zing needles that they will be that size.I slid a pair of Nova standard tips size 5.00mm into the case and moved the others around a bitThe thing is whoever packed the bag correctly slid in two pink needles marked 5.00mm so the mistake is obviously that some 5.50mm needle tips were coloured pink by mistake and then the size allocated for pink needles put on them. I wonder how many hundreds of pink needle tips were produced, packed and distributed before it was discovered.I love the different coloured cables as I already have purple and black. I can work sleeves with differently shaped top sleeves or left and right fronts on different coloured cables. Having different colours means you use a cable different colour to your yarn for counting ease.Talking of counting stitches I noticed Knit Pro have started producing SOFT knitting rings in addition to their original hard rings - may be someone at Knit Pro has read my reviews. If you are a knitter and notice someone with Zing needle tips p!ease mention the pink tips marked 5.00mm that are actually 5.50mm I would hate a few months or years after purchase they knitted or started to knit a too large item after selecting what they thought was 5.00mm.edit. I ordered an individual pair of Zing 5.00 standard size tips to replace the incorrect ones and quite quickly I received them. They are pink and marked 5.00mm which fit in the 5.00 hole on my Knit pro needle gauge. It is definitely worth having one of their gauges as I find my very, very old needle gauge which just has the old Imperial sizes varies so much over the mm. and US sizes etc.

A happy knitter once again.
I start by saying l have been a knitter for 55 years. I am a retired nurse and worked for 15 years on night duty. I have dropped my old needles more times than I care to remember and they made so much noise they woke the patient’s up. Which in turn got me into trouble. I am a very experienced knitter and l wish that l had had these beautiful needles a long time ago. They are both smooth and light to use. No weight with work on your needle and never split the wool that l have been using. Perfect in every way. The tips are perfect. You work quickly and quietly with the work dropping onto your lap. You can carry a set of needles easily and are easy to change your size. I wish my Husband had brought me them before. They have brought the joy of knitting back to me. Thank You My Mick xxx

Very very good! Shame about lack of expandable space
I've put off spending this amount of money, but honestly a game changer for me. The absolute joy of not hunting through pikes of knitting stuff and praying you have circulars at the right length and size... No more! Zing is all I use because they are lightweight for sore hands, and very smooth. The joins are perfect and just handy all round. Downside is that there are no spaces to add to your collection.... Major downside for me, I'd have loved another row of needle holders. The bag in the back for the cords is just a jumble, could be better organised. Also I find as I knit, these do tend to need tightening as I go along, but sore hands so I might not be tightening enough to start with. Massive advantage for me is to be able to change need size without transferring, just take the old one off and put the new one on.

Great set for a reasonable price
So, I've waited to write this, so that I could give a fully used and tested review.I'm now a couple of months using these and I can honestly say I love them.I did a fair bit of research before buying and am glad I opted for these.Having read reviews where people complained of needles coming loose or not fitting correctly, I tested every (or at least most!) combinations on opening the set to ensure all wires and needles were compatible. All but one cord fitted seamlessly and even then the one that was iffy was a short cord and it did fit, it was just a bit out.I have three WIPs with these at the moment and all have worked perfectly so far.I would definitely recommend these and at a fraction of the price of many out there I'm glad I opted for these.I will add, that I needed a 3mm needle for an item I had already started and recently ordered a single 3mm set to add to the full set and it's with this I've had some issues. The needles connect okay, but don't stay tight, even using the wee 'key'. Not a big issue, I just retighten every few rows to ensure there's no mishaps, but I stress this has only happened with the extra needle and not once has it happened with the main needles from the set.

Poor set can’t use
I dont usually post reviews but these needles look beautiful but I find them unusable the thread betwwen the wire and needle keeps coming undone whilst knitting and constantly need screwing in causing the wool to catch. They were not cheap and I’m really disappointed with them as I have used knit pro double pointed and straight ones and found them excellent I’ve tried various sizes in them but they all unscre

A must have for knitters!
I was a little hesitant to buy these at first given the cost, but so glad I did! I’ve only really used the 4mm, but love how they feel in my hands (could never go back to plastic now!) and the adjustable cords really help for bigger projects. It allows the work to hang on your lap, rather than all the pressure being on your wrists. It’s such a cute set and love the cover it comes in.Didn’t realise they were quite short until they came, but I got used to it quite quickly.Would definitely recommend.

The needles are really nice apart from the sizing
The needles are really nice apart from the sizing. The 4mm needle tip comes in at 3.75mm when using a needle gauge. Use the same needle gauge for all my other Knitpro needles and gives the correct sizes with them.
