A tablet ALMOST a good deal. I have had this tablet now for 3 months. Giving me ample time setup and use it. I have taken it with me to the gym and work in my back pack or gym bag. Technically it still works, but… being an IT guy I can handle any issues of a technical nature that come up. When I first got it, it was a nice looking tablet. A little on the thin plastic side, but I figured I would just have to take care of it a little better. Given the price, it would be worth it. Very good picture, had a slight haze to it, so removed the screen protector they send with it to protect it while be shipped. This turned into a serious mistake quickly. The screen of this tablet is a soft plastic, I placed the tablet in my back pack between two hand towels from home, got to work and the scratches were just terrible. Being a DIY guy I sanded the screen and then polished it to almost perfection and bought a 10 dollar screen protector. The extra memory card door also will not shut, this is a design flaw in the case of this tablet, some tape over the tiny door does the trick. The reason for a 1 star review boils down to this, the system files that boot the tablet up are corrupt. I performed a hard factory reset, it did not fix the issue. So I went to Ecost’s web site and filled out their support form for help. I just need the files so I (a techie) can format the device and reload a fresh new image. No contact, this was 2 weeks ago or so. About 2 days ago I sent an email to [email protected]. Explaining my issue and asking again for help. I’m willing to keep the tablet as I can live with the screen and memory card door. But to not help a customer asking for a little help, not a refund or a replacement, just the files to reload it, just seems wrong to me. And no one at the company has even bothered to reply to either of my communications. So please, if you’re looking for a low cost tablet, please do not purchase from this company. They have no honor.

My older lenovo tablet was causing me problems, so I decided to replace it. I really liked the published specs on this one, so I gave it a try. The tablet was OK, had a few issues playing animated GIF files and Facebook videos, but what caused me to return it was the battery life. My lenovo can go 8 to 10 hours of frequent use, without invoking any kind of battery saving measures. This Elecost was giving me low battery warnings after two hours. At first I thought the battery may need a few charges to "break in" as I have experienced with one or two cell phones, but it never got any better. I had to return it because that kind of battery life is just unacceptable. Compounding the issue was the fact that the battery life indicator didn't work most of the time and sometimes showed 100% when the tablet shut down due to drained battery.

This is a Great Tablet. I was going to say a great Cheap Tablet - but it is great and it doesn't cost much. It is not cheaply made or cheap - other than the price. The Screen is very nice - the Speakers are front facing - something that is VERY Rare. It boots fast - loaded all my apps and is fast. I will say that being able to load all my apps is important. I bought 2 other tablets recently - but for some reason - Google Play showed them as not compatible. This was for simple apps like - NEST and SMART THINGS - and this tablet was compatible. I only wish that I had found this tablet sooner!

First impression.....Using the tab for 4 days now....Easy setup , nice and smooth responses , good viewing , Netflix ,YouTube.Appears to be made better then most Value tablets...Audio sub par but Very Good with ear buds.....resolution good..Streaming no stuttering or stopping...Not much information on the web about Elecost , however my constant use at home is a better review than reading one....The only con would be the battery life , I've gotten an average of about 4.5 hours use, less then average , but it may need a break in period...No case specific for the tablet , I'll keep looking....All in all a great buy for the price , and a great value......Still testing but seems to be what I need...I found a perfect fit case with cutouts... Amazon NPOLE 10.6 case......

Very, very, very pleased!!This tablet is everything it is said to be. The android operating system is fast & consistent. The 10.6 screen is fantastic for reading and watching movies. I bought it for my 82yr old mother who has macular degeneration and was having trouble reading it has been a true blessing. She loves playing scabble & free cell also and with the tablet she can relax in her recliner and play for as long as she likes. After seeing how well it performs and how user friendly it is I bought another one for my sister. She loves hers so much. She is now free from setting at a desk to use a computer. She loves to listen to a particular radio station but because of her location she has trouble getting reception. The new tablet has solved that problem and she is thrilled!! I was first a bit skeptical about purchasing this tablet not familiar with the brand. However this tablet has all the features I was looking for at a good price. Once it arrived, quite quickly; I am amazed at the quality it is made. Very durable, light weight, good feel in my hands and the functionality is Awesome! So far, every app has downloaded very fast and without any problems. The description of this tablet is truly on point. I 'm glad I took a chance with this one, THANKS!!!!

This is, by far, the worse tablet ever! It will not function at all unless it is plugged in at all times. I did everything according to the directions once I received and lasted five days before acting up. I have also tried to reboot system and that was no help. What a waste of money!!!
