Needed these to stop pigeons sitting on my permanent runner bean frame as they were using it as a toilet seat and my runner bed below was absolutely covered.I bought the enough to cover all the top of the frame which is about 20ft long.Don't want pigeon poo all over my runner beans cucumbers and peas.Since fitting these I have had no pigeons landing here anymore so have a poo free veg patch . Very happy and price was good with fast delivery.Recommended pigeon proofing.Just one thing to note you put the V shaped spikes through the 30cm runner yourself by pinching then and poking through pre set holes. DONT let go half way through process as they spring out like a catapult at some speed so you can either loose them or hit yourself in the face which hurts.

Good, springy fit. Takes a long time to make up but worth it.Watch your eyes because they can spring out during assembly...Wear goggles!

I've only just received these and they look just right. However, a couple of points to note :=1) YOU have to assemble them. You're given a box of base strips and spikes. The assembly takes a little while.2) Keep hold of the spikes while assembling. They can easily spring out until fully pushed home and that could be dangerous3) The base plates are quite easily bent. Take care when assembling.4) As said, I've only just received them and have only assembled two. However, it looks as if I only have 240 spikes. This means that you insert all 8 transverse spikes and only alternate spikes along the length of the strip (4). This result is perfectly acceptable, but you could waste a lot of time if you insert the lateral spikes in every hole and then run out before you've done all the strips.

After all the hard work to paint the fence and deck, those pesky wood pigeons pooped all along the fence. We tried the plastic spikes (like rows of sharp, upside down cones) but the birds were still landing on them anyway so they were binned and I ordered these. They’ve been nowhere near the fence since putting these up.I also like that the screws were provided.

Although no instructions, i recommend using pliers to finally seat the spikes and safety glasses in case they spring from your hand to protect your eyes.Once installed using screws (mounted to pergola) they are very good at deterring the birds and the pigeon issue i had.
