This is an extremely well-designed item made of extraordinarily strong material. The fit and finish are outstanding. The beautifully engineered mounting hardware is durable and tight-fitting as well. This seat is easy to install and easy to remove for cleaning. The finish is durable and cleans very easily with any household cleaning agent such as Handy Andy. Do not use bleach.Customer service is excellent. Bath Royale products are made in the USA by a plumbing company that is serious about quality, and the owner even answers his own phone. If you have the slightest issue while under the 2-year warranty you can call for a replacement, no problem.

After disappointing buys of other model toilet seats, too thin, plastic, poor quality, inaccurate dimension tolerances, etc. I came across this model which matched by toilet basin dimensions and needs exactly. However, when I received my order, I called the company directly because I was concerned that the actual dimensions didn’t correlate with the description of the BR237 seat as described. To be disappointed again?NOPE, I was pleased to receive a phone call from Mark, president of Macrobelle immediately. It seems the wrong seat got in the right box at the warehouse. Returned the seat, reordered and received a new (correct model) seat all completed within a week!Installed within 15 mins, directions clear, dimensions exact, works and looks great. While this model may be a bit pricey over other brands, the quality and substance make it worth the extra $$. No slipping seat, loose hinges, etc. plus I found that my basin holes were not cast (alignment off) perfectly and the Macrobelle adjustments allowed for this to be corrected.You won’t be disappointed with this superb model!

I shouldn’t have to be writing about a toilet seat. But it seems no matter how much you pay for a toilet you can bet that it is made from strong vitreous china yet it will come with a seat that is almost unusable. And when you go to replace it most of what you find isn’t any better, usually a piece of thin molded plastic or pressed sawdust with a coat of paint on it.WHY DO YOU REPLACE YOUR TOILET SEATThe universal reason that there even exists an aftermarket for toilet seats is that the existing one is loose, wobbly and likely has broken just from sitting on it. Some are so loose as to be a peril to use. Down on the list but still important is that some are simply uncomfortable.HOW IS THIS DIFFERENTAs mentioned, most are made from either molded polystyrene or pressed sawdust. It is rare to find ones made from solid wood or ceramic. Most of the products from Bath Royale are plastic. But this model is said to be different, using what they call Eurocast which is said to be extremely durable and resistant to chemicals and stains and harder than what most seats are made from with better scratch resistance. From the first moment you will know just from how substantial it feels.INSTALLATIONThe good news is that this company wins for one of the best written instruction manuals I have seen in a long time. Not that installing something like this is rocket science but truth be told their product is a little more complicated than average and you really do need to read the instructions to get the performance you expect. Beyond that, not that it’s bad news, but simply reality this is not a replacement that you will snap into place in thirty seconds, yes there are products that actually promise that. The multi-piece mounting brackets are engineering wonders but they do take time to install, align and adjust properly. To do it right took me about thirty minutes, but part of that is for what I paid I demanded a perfect installation.DOES IT LIVE UP TO THE CLAIMSIt is immediately apparent as soon as you see it that this product is much heavier and more solid feeling than what you’re used to. In a way it feels like wood because of how dense it feels, yet it feels smoother and sturdier. The hinge has no wiggle to it at all and once mounted in place there is nothing I could do to get it to wobble. The closure feels more precise than any self-closing seat I have used. One minor point though is that the color has a very slight gray cast to it. It’s something that you may not even notice unless the lighting is just right but if you are a décor purist you might notice. My opinion is that the color looks elegant and I should be clear that as a graphic artist I have very accurate color perception.BUT 70 BUCKSYes, it’s a budget breaker but in my shopping search I learned something. Gone are the days of under twenty buck replacements. It is actually very difficult to find anything worth considering these days for less than forty, so the extra difference for this one doesn’t seem that much. For almost any product there is always the range of good, better and best and if you are the kind of person who typically bypasses the lower end range and goes for the high end you are a candidate to consider this model. I don’t know of anything better available unless it’s solid gold – and that sounds too cold to be comfortable – but I can say that I feel I got a good value and in the long term it will be a worthwhile outlay. So to answer the question if it is worth it – there is no doubt in my mind that it is.

Excellent. Easy to install, looks beautiful. We hesitated at first because of the price, however the toilet seat is well worth the money, very solid, and adjusted in all directions to make a perfect fit. Nice finishing touch to our newly renovated bathroom.

We have three Kohler Revival toilets that came with custom wooden seats designed especially for the toilet. Over the years the seats have deteriorated and have been discontinued. You can still find them online but the cost is $150. They are very heavy and don't over slow-close or quick removal as so many new seats offer. I have tried several inexpensive plastic seats but all have failed on this given toilet. The rim of the toilet is rounded and has no flat service. Most other seats have plastic bumpers rather than rubber so they do not grip the toilet rim. Additionally, with our style toilet the bumper only hits a small portion of the rim which makes it even less stable.The Bath Royale model solved all these issues. First off, it is not plastic but a high quality composite called Eurocast. Very heavy - almost approaching the weight of wood. The bumpers are a rubber material and not a slick solid piece of plastic. They really grip the toilet rim. The hardware is unbelievable - like no other hardware I have seen on a toilet seat. Very heavy and well designed. My old toilet seat had oblong washers that were so lightweight that when you tightened the nut on the bolt the washer bent under pressure. I was never able to get the hardware on other toilet seats tight enough so that the seat did not eventually shift to one side or the other. So far, with the Bath Royale there is a very sturdy fit.As many others commented, the instructions are excellent. Very detailed and easy to follow. As with all good instructions they tell you not only what to do but also what NOT to do. Illustrations are very clear. There are several steps but all easy to follow for a professional installation. The seat fits very tightly and the quick release feature is great for thorough cleaning. I was afraid that the quick release feature would actually weaken the seat as pointed out in so many reviews of other toilet seats. This seems very sturdy and the seat is easily removed and reinstalled.This is not the cheapest toilet seat by any means but it is well worth the money and you are paying for quality rather than a cheap seat that won't last. Two year warranty. Note in package indicates that it is a small family business in North Carolina.
