Putting board
Not very satisfied. The felt was folded during packaging and did not retaine proper consistency. Even after leveling, the putts would not go straight

Much Better Than Expected From Previous Reviews
The carpet now comes as 1 piece. My carpet needed to be straightened out in 1 place as it came slightly crimped out of the box, but was fine one day later. I also used double sided tape to attach the end of the carpet down by the piece of metal that is supposed to act as an eye mirror. The level works fine enough and I am, overall, very happy with this product! I have wanted one of these for years and was hesitant after they moved from metal to plastic and the negative reviews of the 2 piece construction. I am very happy that it is now 1 piece of carpet. Hey Dave or Eddie, if you read this please realize your analysis, approach, and products are still some of the best on the planet. Can't wait for your green reading package to ship. Thanks for all your innovations

Dave Pelz Should Be Embarassed to Put His Name on This Product
I've used the Dave Pelz Truth Board for two decades. Yes, two decades. It is the best putting aid I've ever used. I am a very good putter, but, whenever things stop working, back to the Truth Board. So, why only a One Star review?I bought this because I wanted to have my amazing Truth Board in a 2nd location. Compared to what I have, the new one is literally junky. They took a great product and seem to have only focused on making it cheaply. Here are the differences between the "Old Great One" and the "New Awful One"...RAMPOld: Made of metal. Solid. Totally stable. Long lasting. Made in one single piece.New: Made of very cheap plastic. Made of two pieces that fit together but don't hold together perfectly. Comparatively, New is useless.RAMP COVER MATERIALOld: Made of a tight synthetic that simulates a putting green perfectly. If you hit it squarely, the ball rolls true. A little side spin and you can see the difference in the roll.New: Some sort of less tight, more fluffy material. It does not run true. Worse, the cross seam in the ramp (see above) distorts the roll.LEVELOld: Works perfectly and easily. Can be "fine tuned" because the screw adjustment is tight and each turn of the screw has a noticeable change in leveling. Very easy to get level. Also, you can make it slightly out of level to practice 3 foot putts that have a small break, either left or right..New: The adjustment screw is made out of some cheap material and it is impossible to fine tune the level. The current incarnation of this product is awful. I would never buy it if I saw it and/or tried it first. When I bought the New one, I really, really wanted to ignore some of the other bad reviews because I already had an old one that is still great. The "Old" version of this product is fabulous. The "New" version is awful. I wish they would build the "Old" one again. The "Old" model is a 5 Star PLUS. The "New" model would be a 0 Star if such a rating was possible. As I said in the headline, Dave Pelz should be embarrassed to put his name on this product. What a shame.

This is an embarrassingly poor construction. I own the same product
This is an embarrassingly poor construction. I own the same product, purchased in 2001, and it remains in better shape that this new model. What's wrong? First, the board is comprised of two pieces that must be fit together, leaving a seam in the middle of the putting surface. The whole point of the Truth Board is that the user is presented with a flawless surface, leaving only user error to blame if a putt is missed. With the seam down the middle, however, the ball takes a bounce every time. Second, these pieces are cheap plastic, unlike the metal used in earlier versions. The thing is so light and flimsy that resting a putter on it causes it to bend, again betraying the whole point of having a flawless 3' across which to putt. Third, the dimple in which you place the ball is so wide and deep that the ball jumps out of it no matter how good your stroke. So now you have two instances of the ball hopping per putt -- one off the stroke, and one when the ball hits the seam halfway up the surface. Fourth, the mirror is not glass but some terribly cheap plastic that hardly reflects. You can't see your eyes in it when leaning over to try to see your eyes in it, let alone if properly addressed for a putt. Fifth, the felt surface itself is much poorer quality than the earlier models. It's fuzzy like carpet rather than tight and smooth. In sum, the Truth Board is a phenomenal product, but this model is not worth $10, let alone $75. It does not work for its intended purpose -- offering a perfectly neutral surface upon which to practice 3' putts, leaving only user error to blame for any misses. It is so bad that I was compelled to write this review, which is actually my first ever on Amazon. So buy a Truth Board, but not this cheap model.

Chintzy plastic imitation of the awesome original
I'm a big Pelz fan and was an owner of the original Truth Board which was a very heavy duty aluminum ramp, plush carpet, dependable balance bubble and ALL ONE PIECE. The new board is very flimsy and not up to the standards that I expect from Pelz. I would be more than willing to pay more to get a better truth board and would have sent this back if I wasn't too lazy.

Aluminum version much better
Plastic version is flimsy and difficult to level....putting mat is loose and will need to be glued down.....a disappointment compared to the original but can be made useful with some effort
