Stay away from this unless you want a major headache
DO NOT BUY THIS! Very cheaply made. I bought Thompson because without it made sense to use on my Thompson New Englander and I wanted to take no chances. Mistake. Well, I oiled to barrel bore with a little Ballistol, screwed the brush onto my ramrod, and pushed it to the bottom. When I tried to pull it out, the brush broke and is now stuck in the bottom of my barrel. Gotta send the rifle off to Thompson to see if they can get it out. Gonna take at least three weeks. This rifle is a family heirloom and It makes me sick to think it could be damaged or destroyed for only trying to clean it properly with the factory brand brush. Do not buy this or you will be in the same situation. The connection between brig head and screw thread is VERY weak. See pic. Avoid at all costs!

Brush pulled from base on first use...
Bought this back in Aug - didn't use it until last week on my .50 cal CVA Accura, (prepping for upcoming hunt). On the first use of the brush, I pushed it into the bore - everything was fine. But on pulling it back, I pulled the first 10-12" of the cleaning rod, and the brush pulled clean out of the screw-in base. Doesn't seem to have been crimped very well at the factory. Had to go buy a separate brush from Cabela's. Disappointed - won't buy again.

50 for my 500!
I have probably 30 different caliber guns but just got into 50cal. I didn't really think about it but I didn't have any 50 cal mops or brushes. I made do the first time out but with another brush I had and made it through one cleaning but having the right brush is a huge help to maintain a clean firearm.Quality seems good with no loose wires and the mop is tightly woven so I'm sure they will hold up well for me.THe price was great and they shipped quicklyI highly recommend these if you own a 50cal.

Comes apart - Don't waste your money
The brushes are cheaply made and will separate from the screw handle, leaving them in your muzzle. If you have a breach plug, you can push them through but these would be a nightmare for a sealed muzzle.

poor quality
Used the brush for the very first time, When I went to pull the brush back out the threaded piece separated from the brush and I was left with a brush stuck in the bottom of my 50 caliper black powder barrel. I have used other brushes in the past to clean my barrel and never had an issue until now. Spent several hours and finally figured out a way to remove the brush

Mine broke on the first use.
Unfortunately mine broke on my very first cleaning. The bore brush separated from the metal part that is crimped. And for that 2 Stars.
