Love!!
I loved it more than anything I’ve read in a while. A quick read but so good and so sweet. The drawing was everything and the story just made me happy 💖

AMAZING ART!
The book is seriously good, the art style is lovely, and I love how it’s teaching young girls how boys being ‘creepy’ or ‘jerks’ are actually predators. The ending made me really sad, but the small romance between two characters made up for it. Overall, a very good book. I recommend anyone who loves werewolves and a hint of romance to read this!

Much love!
Since Goodreads is still being buggy, I figured I would put a rating and review for this one on here.Simply put, I absolutely loved the concept, plot, characters, and art! These are the kind of stories I try to find and look forward to reading!

Good premise and art, but not young adult appropriate.
I came in expecting something like Mean Girls (only knew about it tangentially then) meets Jennifer’s Body. It is somewhat like that, but for some reason this grisly tale of peer pressure and vigilantism is also recommended for YA readers.I’m going to refute that. This book has so many F-bombs that it would make Far Cry blush. In fact, they are prolific enough that it completely broke any flow I got into while reading it. Any resolution and emotional moments seemed to be in spite of the book’s constant attempts to pull me out of the story.I know teenagers can be foul-mouthed. This transcends that. It’s also quite graphic, so if you’re concerned about that… for you this is a don’t.

A sapphic romance with stunning art and werewolves, what else could you want!?
4.5⭐️I absolutely loved this graphic novel! The art is incredible and the story was intriguing starting at the first chapter. I honestly didn’t see where the story would go and was a little shocked. Rounded up to 5 stars for the beautiful couple! My only complaint is that it jumped around a little bit from day to day and my brain couldn’t keep up🙈 Overall it was wonderful and a great read for October!

phenomenal
Maggie is such a great writer and Lisa is a freaking amazing artist. This story gave you all the teenage angst with supernatural strength. Loved every second of it and adored the f/f romance.

Insert wolf related pun - tasty chunk of a story
This was a fairly quick read and relatively simple but I enjoyed it a lot. The newcomer to the small town and the popular group. The dynamic of fitting in but also the predatory boys. It's a fun read and wraps up in a way that I wasn't expecting.I really enjoyed the art as well!

Fun and well drawn
It's so well made, the only issue is that it ends. I hope to hear more about these girls someday, or at least about the whole werewolf lore going on!

Fun story
When Becca and her mom move to an elite suburb in San Francisco, she’s surprised to be welcomed into the popular clique at school. Arianna, Marley, and Mandy are idolized at school and go to all the parties. However, one night Becca learns their secret: they’re werewolves. Every month the wolves target a guy from another school who takes advantage of girls. Then the werewolves take turns feeding off of him. Becca joins in their hunting, until things take a dark turn. Arianna’s boyfriend is murdered, which makes the police investigate a number of similar murders of young men in the area. This puts pressure on the pack, and they have to figure out how to hide their true lifestyle. This graphic novel immediately reminded me of Mean Girls. Arianna, Marley, and Mandy were a lot like the Plastics. Becca was an unsuspecting new girl, who they took under their wing, just like Kady in Mean Girls. That’s one of my favourite movies, so these similarities were so fun.I loved the social justice part of this story. The werewolf pack wanted to get justice for the girls who had been harmed by these horrible guys, so they chose them as their targets. Some of the names of these guys were similar to real life male predators, which was an insightful reference. Eventually, though, these attacks went too far and the trail appeared to lead back to the wolf pack.Squad is a fun, feminist graphic novel!

beautiful story
Squad is a powerful story, with real life flawed characters and kick-ass attitude. I love every minute of reading it.
